Well what you're forgetting is prices are rising in all aspects. Most people where sinking gold into achievements before and crafting gears and such but now people have that stuff so now there isn't a lot taking gold out of the economy compared to the previous months. So it doesn't really need to have more money coming into the game as there is already plenty of gold in the game already. There needs to be more things taking money out of the game like Awakens. And yes you're right them losing 8-9k will make them farm harder to get the 8-9k. But thats no different from them buying a costume for a similar amount right? People will always strive to have enough gold to buy what they need which is why there needs to be things in the game taking gold out.

yes I get your point, and your not wrong in there, its just things arent easy for F2P because of all this inflation, EC's are too expensive to buy and harder to profit from, so I can see alot of new players and other F2P having difficulties with this, alot. Thats, in my case im not into to fashion so i could care less about costumes, i understand your point, trits sell like crazy, its a proof that costumes are most wanted.

even on classic server its easy to get gold.

and if you already saw people with +10 awa gear, what do you think how they managed to get that gear?

Ofc by farming and farming oh and farming...thats the way in mmo's and i have never heard anyone complainig about the book prices yet. Simply because its possible to do...

Taking gold out of the game happens in EVERY mmo, cause its necessary!

Jordans explanation is easy to understand and yeah, i actually think its a good way to take out the gold.

lol, sorry but many people cash in alot, and mostly get gold from selling altar items, gold gear etc, not by farming dgns, highlands, not saying they dont do that, but its not really their main source of income, more of a secondary source

  3. 13 minutes ago, Jordan said:

Well the best explanation I can give is:

When you sell an item to an NPC or get gold dropped from a boss the overall gold in the server goes up. So if this gold isn't being taken out of the server by the same means such as buying from an NPC or a crafting cost etc etc. Then prices of player to player trading will rise too because quite simply there is more gold in the economy which in turn decreases the value of the gold.

So the solution is take gold out of the economy via the system (Which in this case is the NPC you purchase the book from). Once you pay that 8437g and 500s. Then the server has 8437g and 500s less gold in the server correct? Where as if you buy 10 Eden Crystals at 200g each then thats only 2000g being given to another player. That money still exists.

I'm no expert so my explanation is probebly not very clear. But overall more money in the game = higher prices in the game on player to player trading. So the best way to solve this is by taking money out of the game. Achievements where doing a good job in this already but now that players are done with Achievements the next gold sink is required. Gem Altar is another good example of something that can sink gold out of the economy but Awakens is also good as not everyone needs to be doing every weapon at once, but over time they might do a good handful of awakens so slowly removing gold from the economy little by little.

In the end nobody needs to be completing all weapons in a week. They can focus on the one they're going to use first and then focus on the next one.

I'm sorry if you still dont understand my explanation but I tried.

Ok now i perfectly understand what you mean, but im just not sure thats going to create stabilty, sure there will be less overall gold, but people will want to get it back asap, so prices will scale again for that reason only, with books at these prices its harder to ctach up, because you have to sell higher then normal, not to mention gold you get from dgns, farming never changed, so it means more hours of grinding to get that 5k more gold for the book quest.

I just think this wont be a good solution, although there are already people with +10 awak gear. This might backfire

I mean if you don't understand the difference between taking gold out of the game via the system and trading gold between players then theres nothing I can do to help explain that.

I guess the only thing I can say is why doesn't the government simply solve world hunger by printing out $1,000,000 for every homeless person in the world.

hence why i made this post, to understand why.

You can make so much gold so easy on the awaken server, i dont know what your problem is with the prices of the books.

The Server rates are so high, related to money making things, that the vgn staff has to take out gold of the game in any way, otherwise the game would be just flooded with too much ingame money which would make things worse.

i guess no matter what the vgn staff is doing, someone always keeps crying.

These prices in the current Aeria server where reduced when the 75 Awaken weapons where released. The original prices where much higher than one in the forum post you provided.

As mentioned in the patch notes the price was increased to also match the servers inflating economy.

which in turn will make everything worse... people are selling everything overpriced again, so i dont undrestand what kind of strategy is this, how is this fair to anyone?

And i think your mistaken about the prices being higher then what the forum post suggests, can you show evidence?

what about ths guide about 75 weapons...? Are the prices also wrong?

    https://luxaeternaee.enjin.com/mobile/forum/viewthread/m/8946266/id/8681438-awakened-weapons-75lvl

I played the original and I recall the book quest for rapier not be anywhere near 5600, theres no reason whatsoever to put those prices, your just blowing the "market" away with this, and more people will quit because the price of everything is rising again

  7. I personally think the spots were fair, and as an artist i do agree that more criteria can be helpfull, although to a certain extente

In this case what Herakles did with this event was giving us total freedom to do draw whatever we want as long as it was related to summer and EE. So in reality we all had a chance to draw something that truly captivated the audience.

Its not just about technique, but its about the idea and the concept. Some people were creative with the scenarios or they way they portrayed the 2 themes together and managed to convey emotions through it. A prime example for me was @Wooloo and @Zuly those drawings give me complete summer vibes.

thats when i thought to myself, i could have gone a little fursther with my drawing, so in the end, even though i didnt win, i learned alot from this contest. And again, No, art isnt all about talent or technique, theres alot more to it

and since people post their drawing steps here ill do the same :v, I used photoshop to color the drawing o/

Suggestion, could we maybe make it so when you land on a prime tool in the Altar you get 2 instead of 1? When ECs were being sold for around 80g during 60 cap everyone was always selling the prime tools. Now that ECs are being sold for 120 I don't think I've seen anyone selling the tools in Peer chat in 3 weeks. I see people offering to buy them at 200g (they used to go for 150 and sometimes less), including myself but no one seems to be selling.

    agreed.

Prime tools have become more scarce as of now simply because ppl dont think its worth getting them for profit anymore. They either skip it or use it for themselves. Maybe a 2 prime tool in altar or a higher chance to land on one would be nice

  9. I think maybe if you added a way to be able to hold and use more of the aven tools would be great, limit them to 5 tools at max, instead of just one, because 30 minutes fly by fast, and for those who have stuff to do and go afk, its a hinderance for them because in 30 minutes their character will just sit there, im not saying to be able to hold unlimited tools because if that were the case the blue ones would become meaningless, but maybe let us hold 5 at most (5x180 = 900 durability which is lower then a blue tool, not to mention blue tools have better gathering rates)

  10. Hello,

Was wondering if it would be possible to actually see the drops for an item? Like when you click the icon to see the boss drops, you also have the % number next to it. Just to have an idea of their drop rates

  11. 4 hours ago, AceFire said:

Is not a bad idea, but I think it would break the economy right now. No one would go for stardust anymore and corona essence would become overpriced. Materials wise I think it's no sense, why would you even take low level mats when you can literally take from ep shop whatever you want (?)

About the materials, is simply because in my case i do some assignements since not all mats are worth getting with EP, and that results in a bunch of leftovers that end sitting in warehouse or bank. But yeah i guess making corona more avaiable this way could lead to potential increase, again, that playerbase problem :/ maybe increase the requiured number of essence needed to transform to a stardust?

    3 hours ago, Jordan said:

Not a good idea. Essences are made intentionally more accessible for players on altar as a very common drop so that you can do your manditory 1-65 achievements for the most part cheaper since the rates of most the foundry crafts where increased compared to their original form (Now they're like 50% base rather than the original 10-20%, which I know this change didn't apply to rings and necklaces).

HP Potions should already be transformable but upon checking it does seem missing from the arcane box where as on Awaken it is available.

I understand, but maybe increasing the number of essence required  for a stardust? otherwise just scrap the idea completely xD

  12. Was thinking if it would be possible to add like a fuse system for coronas, for example, 2 or 3 essence give a stardust, 2 or 3 stardust give a heartflame,  its a tool that has alot of potential for players to get nice stuff in exchange for others, same could be done for HP pots, a stack of III hp for 50 IV hp for example, Class medals for honor stars 1:1 ratio. 100 of a specific material (dry branch which is lvl 20, exchange 100 for 50 tough branch which is lvl 30 for example)

After rechecking this is related to arcane box => transform section, so sorry about title.

So we should be held accountable for it at all times? Because if that's the case....

Should we begin by pulling everything stated to us in the past by yourself and many others? Soon as you don't get your own way you start pulling these little stunts by holding things against us like we're meant to be some conglomerate ran on procedures and executing like robots.

You forget this is a few person team and we're players just like you, we don't have to treat you with such respect when a lot of us do this in our spare time for YOU and then we're met with such responses like we're only in this for the money and don't care. So when you want to try and place yourself on the high horse here remember one thing.... I'm not the one being entitled and kicking and screaming whilst not playing a game properly.

We are allowed to disagree with you, we are allowed to challenge your suggestions. This isn't a take relationship and never will be. If you don't like it go to NotAura or some other shit pserver who before even having a stable server placed donations up and shut down when necessary, can't fix bugs and full of fucking idiots who for whatever reason you all hold in such higher regard.

Granted I've earned my fair share of hatred, I don't take crap from anyone. But trying to use past events as a basis to justify why you don't want to play a game properly is a poor fucking excuse and I apologise if the truth hurts.

Lets not take this too personal, because theres no need for that and thats not the point of this thread, also why attack eachother? It will only leave a bigger bitter taste in everyones mouth.

Anyway, i think having EC to be dropped on dungeons would be nice too, same way like class medals, which btw, was pretty awesome addition tbh :).

Im not a spender so i dont know if this exists but, how about when people buy AP they get free EC? Like imagine you invest 20$, you get like 50 EC along with with the AP, instead of using the AP you bought to buy EC, of course you can still to do that, sort of like a bundle.

I'm sorry if I said anything offensive or was rude with my language but generally speaking I'm just tired of dealing with this subject. I don't disagree things can't be improved but at the end of the day its not as easy as it looks cause everytime somethings made easier (like VSS for example). Yeh the numbers show that the supply in game is more than it should, you still have free to play players crying foul while the cashers have moved on to the next subject of complaint, the next tier of stones.

Thank you, this is all thats needed, your approval, whether be it positive or negative, @Bash and @Jordan, just a thumbs up or thumbs down, and your right, both of you need time. I stand down, as the message is clear as day.

Its good to know your working on implementing changes and like the suggestions on this post, and to be honest, thats all thats needed, no dramas, thats what forums are for, to help community and developers come up with good solutions

Back to the Stones we go! Wondered how long it would be before the dust unsettled on this subject 😴.

In terms of Stone availability there are over 1500% more being introduced into the game than previously. What more do you want us to do? We've said we will assess and our next step will now be to wipe stones pre-gear patches so players stop hoarding them and begin to sell them.

There are more than enough stones to go around and trying to justify your needs towards our actions whilst blaming us for being "the winners" whilst YOU the playerbase hoard the stones is maniacal if I'm being honest.

This is pretty much saying "well if we want Bash and Jordan to do anything, best bet is to just hoard everything till they make it easier" that much power leaves a bad taste and we won't let it happen.

In the end if you have a problem with the network generating funds to support it's future, staff and current projects then that is your problem. No one ever has a problem supporting official servers with overpriced items, more pay gates and maximize their profits with greedy "events". Private Servers have changed it's no longer everything quick and easy, the idea of a Private Server is to create a different and cheaper experience and I think we've accomplished that here and have always done within the network. You players just want more and more and there has to be someone to say no and assess the right way and not because you want to get to point B and then create another "state" thread about getting to point C in the future.

Whether this game makes a ton of money one month and little the next makes no difference. We all get a wage for doing this so it makes no difference by greedy motives, we just want to protect the longevity of the server.

I remember in the beginning of this server you wanted to keep things as "classic feeling" as possible, which is okay, but againot everything in original was good as we all know, and you guys can imrpove those flaws in this new private server. Thats what a private server is all about, its not about mimicking the original, its an alternate experience. I know your working on a boss type rush dungeon, thats amazing!! Those stuff give life to these private servers. You've done other improvements too, which is good.

Your the administrators, your the only persons that can change something significantly, the players provide feedback, good and bad, the sheer amount of posts about stones literally means that this subject really needs to be worked on. "Everyone complains about it, the number of posts is skyrocketing". At this point its enough to understand that this is a big issue for many players, and it can cause you to lose more people, therefore more money, therefore killing the server.

A happy player will invest gladly on the server, and there are people here that are willing to invest to keep it alive.  Yes changes take time to work on, yes you have your real life and other projects to work on. Its all fine, as long as your willing to implement those changes that players are asking for, in this case specific about the stones, its all fine, doesnt have to be done today or tomorrow, but dont just shove it away, because its not about the amount of stones avaiable anymore.

i suggested that weeks ago @Annuia jordan said the problem is if you close the window the server forgets the progress you made while trying to up the item. Thats why i suggested to make a npc for it like the one for mana infusion, that npc didnt forget the progress of the mana infusion enchant on weapon/costumes too. Not losing the progress would make the game way more enjoyable since you know that you made it up to 30% for example and you can try it in few days again (once you have enough gold for buying fort stones 1k+ ea xd). I would even suggest to increase the % until +8 by 2% or maybe 1,5% and after +8 by 1% for each fail. I think thats fair enough since you have like 11% succesrate after +8 and if youre unlucky you will need corals until 40% or even more anyways which is still alot of gold but atleast the chance increases each time you fail ....

Sorry :/ must have passed by that post hehe, regardless its wonderfull suggestion indeed

I've fortified all the gears i mentioned without closing the window.
I can asure you all that this doesn't fix anything unless bonus % for failing is highly buffed.

It will fix the hoarding problem and also not everybody can stock up many stones to guarantee success, and yeah a better % would be better when failing for sure, as it stands now, its a pretty draining feature...

  17. 2 hours ago, AceFire said:

Yes, I agree, wiping stones would break the server. Making those people who raise prices everyday use a bit their brain would make everything better. Prices are going up to the stars EPs weren't even in altar for 2-3 weeks and were for 550g-600g, now that those "EPs" are in altar, you find them for 650g. Can someone explain me the theory behind this? A more common item costs more than a rare one? Is this even a game anymore? VSS were cheaper before the change, now people have raised the price for no reason at all. 250g before altar changes, 350g now. No seriously hello?

I completely agree, this sometimes doesnt feel like a game at all, its just a person grinding to grab the best items at the best price while selling and reselling, gambling and hope for the best.

One of the best suggestions in this thread so far is to not lose the foritifcation % increase when closing window. Common just think about it, in what way is that fair or makes any sense? None, its an exploit and a spit in the face to the player if you ask me, whoever designed that system, should be ashamed of themselves. Its great that the succes rate increases if you fail, but by simly closing the window, you lose that increase? What? Who thought of that? What kind of flaw is that? And this is something I truly Believe you, @Bash, @Jordancould totally work on to improve, these details make the difference in the overall gameplay experience, and thats whats important, people will continue to invest in a game they like and enjoy and that actually has a good system built in it. You won't lose players by improving these flaws, you will win them over.

Also this is my opinion but having so many "good stuff" on altar is what makkes the market go crazy, take coronas for instance, SS, costumes, etc etc, the only way to get those is trhough altar. People once complained about the alpaca king costumes material requirements to be huge and absurd, yet, its one of the only Prime costumes thats avaiable outside of altar. People would need months jjust to get 2 primes from alpaca king costume (assuming they dont play 24/7, this is just an example of how certain things dont need to be that hard or ridiculous to get. Simply give more options to acquire certain items.

Because if he starts to balance change some things, people will demand to do it for other things too. Not gonna go too deep into it since it will cause a huge pile of shit again but if you look through the suggestions section you will find a thread about changing stats on greatswords and one about changing stats on capes. Same thing as this would be.

mmm i understand, but I guess Jordan agrees with some of those changes and others not, that should be enough for him to make the decision as Jordan always justifies why he decided to change this and not change that, because not all suggestions are great, but some are pretty good and if Jordan agrees and sees potential in them, not go through it because other people will complain about theirs not being accepeted is not fair for the player who made the good suggestion, because it would actually benefit and improve gameplay experience.

But I do undrestand theres alot on Jordan shoulder, just wanted to shout out that, if he thinks its worth and its good idea, dont fear other peoples reaction as to "why wasnt my accapeted".

Are you talking about ECs specific there? Because if someone sells them for 80g they are gone in 10 seconds and on the market again for 100g. This would work with things that are harder to obtain but i doubt EC prices will drop ever again. Even if they do a super shitty altar the cashers will simply not cash and wait for a new good altar to sell again.

In the end we gotta admit that there are more chances to gain gold now(more 0/2 and 0/10, new armor chests etc) but - and here is the common problem that was always there - you need even more time now as a casual to grind it all out.

I do not agree with your point on not being able to roll altar for profit since i know multiple people that still do it pretty well. You just need time and patience(but that was always the case)

Yes i meant EC in this case, but you gave a solid point about their prices.

And yes the grind has always been there now its even longer, still, some people figure out the best way to farm gold in less time, problem is since most things are more expensive now, you do have to grind more like you said.

About rolling for profit, I mean for some players who dont have much EC, and only buy EC with gold instead of purchasing them with AP or something, it can be tricky to get good profit, as it will take even longer to recover the amount you spent, and since EC price raised some stuff that gave profit on altar are not really worth getting anymore like tools for instance, unless you raise the price of tools from 150 to 200, you wont get much out of them. even mounts are not worth it right now, unless and again, if you raise their price. But on another note it depends on which altar we spend EC, clearly not every altar is worth spending EC, some have better items in better rows then others, so its all about playing smart, but in my opinion, its not as easy to profit as it was before, specially for newer players

  20. Yeah but then again everybody rushed trhough content, on day 3 of new cap there were already people with +10 gold gear. So in turn they start to cash in and sell more and higher. Its all playerbase fault, everybody treats this game like a business marketing place. Selling BP, auctioning outfits for 20k, etc etc. There will always be people trying to rip off more gold in any way they can. So its the players fault, its the community fault thats in the state it is right now, I agree with the diamond altar thing, it shot up the price of EC, but thats because people get greedy easilly and they want to make more profit out of something they know has some value, and look at the state of it now, Diamond altar is long gone yet EC price never dropped, in fact it raised with no apparenbt reason, it became the norm because people profit more, the cashers in this case, because as for the rest, poor fellows will have to grind like nuts, create alts, devise ways to get gold, EC right now isnt worth the risk, the profit you make out of ec is less then before, thats for sure.

Now the question is, why dont people drop the prices? If one drops the price, the others will follow and things will drop overall making it less expensive to get everything, so why does nobody do that, I wonder?

To be honest sometimes this doesnt feel like a game, its like a gambling, dealer type of application where people enjoy spending, selling, collecting and whatnot
