  1. Just please understand, we would love to but we just don't have the capacity right now to achieve a launch. We've been very very close to launching this game once before so it's not as if we don't have to it's just not the right time and may never be.

    Live!

    The server has now been moved to "Live" version! We are no longer in a beta state and are now focusing on the progression of the game and it's content. We want to take our time to thank everyone involved with Beta, everyone getting involved on the forums and fighting it out in-game. It's been our pleasure to release this game and we hope you all continue to support it as so.   5. You need to change your attitude in all fairness. Our launch plans were always to launch as 60 cap and I suggested doing Beta as 55 so everyone could be excited for launch knowing more content was coming. We don't intend to do a 2 week content gap at all, so I'd recommend changing your attitude it's getting old.
  6. I think everyone needs to respect the fact that the goal here isn't to produce a 5 second hype. If something takes long to farm it allows you to be excited about a drop for once, this itself brings value to your efforts. The main issue we have on our awaken server right now is because of these mechanics being forced to be present. Jordan will spend months on a dungeon and new gear, fine tuning everything to then watch someone complete everything within a couple days of it's release. That isn't fair and it doesn't allow us to take a step back as we are having to jump straight back into a new patch. A lot of games seem to be doing this and it's causing a lot of problems and when finally a game does this it's then complained about because "it's too hard, I don't have the time for this" and then forced into making it easy so that same person can demand new content "because there's nothing to do". As for the game being like Aeria? That's total nonsense. You get 20% of what we give from Aeria (if that) for your money and they give harder rates for their stuff. You shouldn't be expecting to be max refined within the first 5 days of a games release.
  7. We have to see how the next line of content unfolds with everyone. If we identify a problem we can certainly fix it for the next content that's for certain. Our main objective is to keep this game as close to classic as possible but introduce some of the features that made the game better. In the end biggest problems this game had was Mimic and then being forced to Awaken Classes because of how OP Mimic was. So as long as we keep away from content like that it shouldn't be a problem if we add our own spins to certain vanilla stuff.
  8. The issue is as well, the drop rates themselves for said items even at vanilla rates is too high. You will be done and dusted with content before it's even had a chance to settle if this was set to unlimited. I've never been a fan of limiting dungeons here btw, it's just unfortunate that the drop rate and the way the equipment system works in this game is made this way and thus has to result in such features to control it.

Back in 2015 we launched our very first Eden Eternal Private Server, it's been an amazing ride and will continue being so however, with the launch of Classic WoW it's created the question "Will we ever release a Classic version of Eden Eternal?". After months of people asking we've decided to listen and give it a go! We've proven we can be trusted with our longevity and we've proven we're more than capable of delivering a great experience of Eden Eternal! The idea is to bring back everything that came with what made this game so great! = Beta Information = We're currently in Beta phase, please read the following information: Note: It's important to know that your character progress WILL NOT be wiped! Beta will only last 2 weeks and we will be into our Live version pretty quick. We will be using our time during Beta to iron out any issues found and to have open discussions with everyone on certain features being made available. Please remain active on the forums in order to participate and have your say on some important areas of the game! Later dates you will experience the Trials and then later after that Awakened Weapons will be released with this. It is our promise to you all that this version of Eden Eternal will not ever experience the Awakened Classes. We will also not be intending on producing a lot of "custom" content. The idea is to present the game as it was and we do not want to interfere much at all with that experience. We will however, be creating custom events and making the game fun in it's own way. As the game grows with age we could possibly re-visit the idea of introducing custom gear and such, but as of now we have enough content and release dates to keep you all happy!   11. We will have to see how the limits work at first for us. If it's a case of raising or removing the limits then it will be done but they were added for a reason.
  12. We've designed the Classic Server to being able to use our current Eden Eternal Client. So if you don't have the Client then just download it now. Eventually the Launcher will update with the option to select "Classic Server".

    Progress so far on the Classic project has been successful. I'd like to thank everyone so far involved for their amazing efforts and we are really steam rolling through this to deliver a true Classic experience. We hope to be providing more previews and information this week!

  16. MAC Address is one of the easiest to manipulate due to it's format, when you're identifying hardware I've seen in the past clients using machine name, ip/mac and then signature of hdd. This data is then hashed and sent to help match and identify accounts to one another, how did you think I found that out? Reverse Engineering.... I then could manipulate this output by changing any of the 3 listed areas voila bypass. You can suggest encryption or any form of data handling and again if it's in the client it can be found, again someone who states to have high enough credentials should know and understand this as it is not 2005 anymore.
  17. If you work in this line of work then you can understand that hardware identification is a hard ask as again it can be manipulated all very easy.
  18. I'm at a loss for words right now, I've re-wrote this response about 10 times to not try rub off wrong, if I do I am sorry. You are aware there are many programs out there that can attach a connection to just one process right? Yes it is possible we can add an IP check to the login, but just go and get any Proxy Client or VPN Client and you will see this is an option and it's very easy to use. I want to just say a few things: We've made it clear we don't have source code so this cannot be added to the game client or game server files. NosTale for instance had this check, people still bypassed it due to using such programs (asking us to try detect such programs is also not possible, easy rename process tools are available for free and well we don't have source for the game in doing so). You're not taking into account people who play with their family, relationship or friends in the same premises. Is it fair to them that we now lock to one IP per login? I'll also add a lot of people use public VPN services that provide better ping for video games, is it fair to them if they're on the same node? Going back to the "We can add an IP check to Login" I said above, how do we check the connection is still active without source? The logout check is delayed by 5 minutes so if you relog you have to wait 5 minutes to even intiate this check and even sometimes your login sticks via a bug with the login server, so then people are locked out of the game now? I can list many other reasons why this won't work out but asking me to "get serious" is kinda rude. I'm glad this work seems easy to you, you're wasting your talents playing video games.
  19. I don't believe an explanation is necessary though for every suggestion put forward. If you think of an idea write it down and come back to it a few days later, you will probably see it from a different eye and with the one you suggested it's not as if you're the first to ask for such a feature and perhaps it's been explained there? IP Blocks don't generally work, you've got huge publishers IP blocking a lot of games that should remain in specific regions. Does that stop anyone from anywhere else logging in? No it doesn't and in fact VPN's and Proxies are so easy to come by these days it's not as if it's a technical area either. Now we could make it more difficult for people that's most certainly an option. But this wouldn't help and those who bypass would only share such bypass and then we're back to square one. It's not as if we're sat depending on just your suggestions for content, we do actually discuss a lot of areas and options.

    Classic Server

    Hey Guys, We've decided we are going to begin working on a Classic version of Eden Eternal here at VGN. I appreciate this was a suggestion turned down at the end of last year by myself but after several requests and a lot of nagging by Jordan I've decided to allow this project to go ahead (people can change their mind). We have a lot of ideas that we believe can really create a Classic experience and will be working very hard on executing this accordingly. We hope to share those ideas with you all in the coming weeks as well as screenshots and possibly videos previewing our progress. Now we did have a thread open that was created to ask for your opinions. Unfortunately that thread just became an area for people to just send a lot of hatred because we threaten their current project. We're sorry you had to witness that and if you have any suggestions please let us know we're all ears. Under no circumstances will this project affect our current Eden project. We will be designing a roadmap as well as explaining that the project will not be taken into unnecessary directions. The idea of this project is to bring back that feeling of the classic game and we hope everyone will enjoy it. Please watch this space as we unfold a real Classic experience. Thank you all, Bash.

  22. Hey all, It's been 2 and a half years of hard work and great moments with NosTale Vendetta. We've had some great times together and I am proud to have hosted this game here on VGN. The news I am about to give you all does not come without great regret and it breaks my heart. Due to some recent news in my life this last month it aches me to say that I must step down and shut down the NosTale project here at VGN. I cannot simply pass the torch or responsibility of NosTale onto anyone for many reasons. With me stepping down the network will still go on, Eden Eternal is ran by @Jordan and Scarlet Blade is ran by @Vivi these projects will not be affected at all. I cannot go into great details about what is going on as I like to keep my life private. I thought I could just continue as normal but to be honest I am kidding myself. I have been working solid on a new patch for a while now so this hasn't came without great thought. I want to thank the NosTale support team especially, it's been a pleasure working with every single one of you. I am very very sorry to everyone, I know this news comes with great pain and I assume you all will be very angry towards me. I only ask that you look to the fun we've had and understand all good things must come to an end. Thank you for your time with us.

  24. The DC is based on your ping, for some reason the network libraries have issues with high ping and will DC you. We've been trying to fix this for the longest time but it's not as easy as you may think.
