I have two characters in the 30's now; 37 SW and a 35 PU. Each is using the "Base" armor set (Unique and Rare), and a Rare weapon, then just random accessories. The rare weapons seem to be quite a bit better than their "Base Unique" counterpart, with the basic stats being 3x higher while the Uniques have a lot more stats too them. The armors are the same way, but not quite as drastic, so I've been using the Unique armor (plus, the unique armor looks a lot better on the PU). Yet, I'm wondering how good the Unique "base" items are in comparison to Rares (of equal enhancements), should I be trying to get a set of Rare gear at +7 - +10? This line of thinking comes from being destroyed by the first boss in Ignis Vortex on either character, that boss just applies a couple debuffs that my characters have no chance of surviving. Understand that I'm a pretty casual player with zero experience beyond lvl37 or knowledge valuable materials to keep / look for at all. I'm pretty sure the Base items were from some event box or lvl reward system from long ago. So don't assume I know anything about anything. 😃

I've been a casual player for quite awhile, years in fact. The last time I played may have been around a year ago when I found the Shadow Walker to be surprisingly fun to play, but that lasted til I hit lvl37 and felt a lack of xp. Never had an issue with the game running, the worst that would happen back then was simply a random disconnect. Started playing again a few days ago and its been pretty frustrating. At first the game simply wouldn't launch, but with some various tweaks that game is now launching everytime. The new issue now is the client simply crashes to desktop without an error, which just started happening today. Three times now, just poof... client gone. Not to sound snarky, but is this common now? Prior to today, other than "Mother has disconnected you" the game has been very stable, being able to play for hours and hours. Nothing has changed with my computer at all, no updates, no new drivers, etc., so not sure what is going on.

Leveling in the game seems pretty broken, but this is from the PoV of a casual player with only a lvl37 as their highest character. Getting to 30-31 is pretty smooth, but this is mostly due to being able to farm static Faction elites in the Swamp area of Enocia. There is nothing else like that after you leave Enocia sadly. A long time ago there was a time where Idel had a daily that rewarded 3 EXP buffs, those helped quite a bit, but they were removed. At 30+ the game devolves into doing a set of Main / Side quests per lvl, and a set of dailies for that level. This is alright since up til 34-35 those are enough to get you through most, if not all, a level. At 34 that the gap between what you earn via quests / dailies and what you need to level starts to get higher and higher, and at 37+, well... its not fun since it feels like "login, do dailies, log out".

I looked around it was mentioned that disabling full screen optimizations could work, so I did that and haven't had an issue since. Ty.

I wouldn't be worried about the "nudity" in this game being against a streaming platforms ToS, except maybe Mixer which is kinda prudish. Twitch allows Conan Exiles to be streamed, which shows much more than SB ever has.

Was this issue ever resolved? It is happening to me as well, where xingcode just closes down before launching the game. This is after a new install and whitelisting various files, and even downloading the files listed in the Help forum. There is nothing running in the background that hasn't always been running when I've played SBV before.

Haven't played in about a year or so. Game patched up without issue. Click Play, the Xingcode window appear in the lower right as it loads up. Then it disappears and the game doesn't load up. I've done a new install. I've whitelisted the files: sb.bin, sb.exe and xingcode.dll I've downloaded the sb.bin / sb.exe that were listed in the Help forum. Game still doesn't load. Suggestions? Edit: Seemed to have got it working. Edit 2: Game is broken again. No idea why. My main ISP went down for about 10min, so I hooked up my other ISP and went to log in. Launcher ran fine, but when hitting start game, the same thing started happening; xingcode loads up, then nothing.
