  1. I can see about removing points from chests and upping points from killing people. It wont be for this patch, but should be for the next one.

     

    Also, if any other bg relies too much on pve to win, add that here as well and I'll see what I can do.

  2. I'll try to explain what I can, the best I can. If any of it doesn't make sense, then let me know. I'm also doing this off the top of my head, so it may not be 100% accurate, but it's pretty close.

    These are altered. For each piece of gear, it has it's own enchantment stat id, with a max of 6-8. So delta unique should have different stats from delta rare - at least in terms of higher gear it does. So every single stat you see with enchantment stat, is it's own id, own increment, etc. (1 reason why gear takes forever is setting up every single stat enchantment for every single +# rank)

    The client currently does recognize that it's in there and that it SHOULD read it. Unless I was doing something completely wrong, which is possible, it doesn't recognize it. The client itself has a field for an item's rank, whether it be white (1), green(2), blue(3), yellow(4). It has it set up to recognize legendary (5), but the client itself is missing the backend code to actually make it recognized as a legendary piece. It's as if they started to code it but shut down before finishing.

    GM suit is honestly me fucking around with it for event purposes. Jewel slots are gear specific, so if I wanted to put it on just Whipper Iota Green gear, then just that 1 piece of gear could have extra slots.

    Can be altered. The new gear has an increase of random stats now, so not a problem there.

    In theory yeah, I could just dupe a unique gear and up it's stats again, though it's just the mindset issue of it still being yellow rather then something else entirely. I will not lie, gear takes honestly a fucking long time to make since every single class has it's own set of gear. I'm half tempted to find a way to make all classes be able to wear the same gear and make it work from there. Less work involved -> Easier to release sooner. This only brings up the problem of balance and things become stagnant with classes and so forth. Weapons would then have to heavily hold most of the gear balance for the classes rather then the gear itself.

    It is possible yeah. As of now, I don't have any plans on adding new gear. But in the future everything will be modified and changed again with new gear or whatever else comes out.

    If "Legendary" gear does eventually come out, then this is essentially what will have to happen. But I think I'd rather do set gear first since that is indeed in and working in the client and actually try and work my way around to getting legendary gear to be recognized in the client. Without source though, it's kinda difficult.

     

    The whole deving process with SB is a complete mess. Basically you have a bunch of code thrown at you with variables you don't know definitions to and have to start a process of trial and error to try and figure out what said variables actually do. For example, just figuring out how to get checkpoints to drop properly in BGs was a task in it of itself ( @NoRunNoGun / @DrDieLess can verify all the trial and error it took). Its a slow learning curve of, "Oh shit, that's how it works" and "Oh, so that file is corrupt and I have to fix it!" Unfortunately I wasn't given a guide on how things work and I wasn't given instructions on how to do this. There's no one I can ask on these matters either, it's just me. (Bash can help on occasion, but he's as blind as I am here since he does 0 dev work for sb). Every single thing I learned to do in SB, I had to teach myself how to do it.

    So though I'm saying the grade of Legendary isn't coming now, doesn't mean it wont appear in the future. I might just have that, "Oh shit it works!" moment later.

  4. General Changes:

    • Due to popular demand - Seona's Dungeon only will be left open till next maintenance on the 15th!
      • Seona <Event> in Enocia will no longer spawn
      • Sati's Daily quest will no longer appear/be able to be completed
      • The additional cosmetic mentioned in my last patch notes will be released when the dungeons are finally closed.
      • Sati will still remain open for 1 week after the even completes, so there is still no rush to spend your sweeties!
      • The Battleground rewards will remain as they are till the last maintenance of the month (29th of November) - after which, the increase in PvP Medals will be a permanent change
      • Ranking Rewards will no longer reset twice a day
    • The level 36-54 dungeon has received some major nerfs
      • Bosses will no longer reflect damage
      • HP/DEF/ATK on certain mobs have been lowered
      • The additional mobs that could heal should no longer be able to

    Technically any new maps or anything of the sort will not fit the sci-fi theme to the game since Dragona was never that sort of theme. Rather then stay stagnant to just what we have, switching up and adding things that sort of break that theme is what we have to go for in order to actually give new content.

  9. So Seona is a bit peeved at all the Whipper pulls she experienced!

    She's been seen randomly spawning outside of her usual times to try and punish all those nasty Whippers!

    Friday and Saturday (and maybe Sunday!), I'll be online from time to time spawning in extra Seonas in Enocia for both factions. Since I can't dual log my GM account, 1 faction will go at a time.

    Times will be random, an a system message will play when they're about to spawn!

    Spawns will always be on Channel 1

    • Increased the chances of bosses in the level 60 dungeon of dropping Sweeties
    • Increased the number of Sweeties a level 60 boss will drop
    • Bosses now have a chance of dropping 1 and 5 Gold
    • Lowered the cost of Sati's event crafting items
    • You can now craft Seona's Mistress (Female Classes) and Seona's Paramour (CS)
      • In addition to this item, an additional cosmetic may appear towards the end of the event! Sati will remain for 1 week after the event finishes, so there is no rush to spend your sweeties before the 8th!

    Just some things in general to note. If you do not report your bugs on the forums, I WILL NOT see them. Please, do not wait till the time I log on to announce for maintenance to tell me any bugs. They will not be fixed in time for that maintenance.

    This will be the final patch for this event. I will not patch/fix anything else unless it's a game breaking bug. So any bugs you saw weeks ago that you never reported, then they wont be fixed till the dungeon appears again.

  12. Over the 60 dungeon, you'll notice the NPC says 56-65. IGNORE THIS. It is just text and will not stop 55s from entering the dungeon.

    Before this patch, I had set it to 56-65 before a GS stopped and asked to make it 55-65. That npc was done in the very beginning and just not updated.

    • Increased the chances of Seona <Event> dropping Seona's Keys
    • Increased the number of Halloween Sweeties Seona <Event> drops
    • Adjusted some of the stats of the level 20 dungeon monsters
    • Adjusted some of the drop rates of the monsters in the level 40 dungeon
    • Changed the skills of some of the monsters in the level 40 dungeon - they should no longer all continuously heal themselves
    • Seona (level 60 dungeon) now has a rare chance of dropping unique level 64 earrings
    • Seona (level 40 dungeon) now has a rare chance of dropping unique level 44 earrings
    • Seona (level 20 dungeon) now has a rare chance of dropping unique level 34 earrings
    • Pumpkin Queen Lingerie (Rare) can now be sold to NPCs
    • Level 60 rare accessories can now be destroyed
    • Adjusted the level requirements for the dungeon to guarantee drops from monsters:
      • Level 20: 20 - 34
      • Level 40: 36 - 54
      • Level 60: 55 - 65
    • Lowered the level of the monsters in the 60 dungeon to be 60
    • Adjusted Seona's Guide NPC to show the correct level requirements above their name
    • Adjusted the cost of the items you can craft from Sati
      • They may be changed again if too high now.

    This event will be active till November 8th's maintenance!

      • This dungeon has a chance of dropping Halloween type pet skins as well as other little goodies!
    • A daily will pop up from Sati asking for assistance in clearing out Seona's minions and the Seona that spawns in Enocia (every 4 hours, 20 minutes)! You will receive 2 free entries a day!

    The bosses wander around certain parts of the map. They'll stay in general areas, but they do in fact move! If they are not there, look around for where they may be walking!

     

    • Seona has been seen breaking through the portal and crawling through Enocia! Kill it and get a chance to receive the pet of one of the pet skins that drop from her dungeon! Seona also has a chance of dropping a rare Skeleton Face Paint!
      • She's been seen wandering in front of the guild manager in Enocia!
      • The locked pets can also be purchased from the item mall in the "Featured" tab

    • PvP medal drops have been increased for this event! Get x4 the extra pvp medals for participating in 60+ battlegrounds!

     

    Ranking Rewards will reset 2 times a day!

    • Ranking rewards will reset twice a day at 1am and 1pm server time!

    • Pet Hunger Hack (1 hour) can now be destroyed

    • Commander Replicube (ones purchased from a merchant) can now be stacked to 255
    • 12G Commander Replicubes now have Level 3 Hypovials and 700 CP Potions

     

    • Lowered the HP of the Supply Box in Second Ark to 6mil HP
    • Increased the HP of the Treasure Chests in Turnpike to 3mil HP

     

    • Increased the chances of all EXP Skill Chips dropping from monsters

     

    • Al Kasava for levels 35 - 55 has been temporarily disabled while we work on a fix for it.

  17. I'm not sure we'd open it for the sake of just opening it as of yet, because there would have to be some work done to get it "stable" for the lower levels as well. With 60s and decent gear in there, they could just camp the opposite faction's base which wouldn't be too ideal. Though I'm not saying we wont consider this, but if it does happen, there will be some general map changes done to it.

    I never said it was bad or the worst, just have to understand how dated the game itself is. Wow is different since their devs constantly update the engine they use since they have that ability (either they made the engine, the physical backend code the game runs on [networking, optimization, etc] or they have the source from the original makers of the engine [think of it as Unity]). This is separate from having the actual source of the game, which is the code that makes the game run how it does. 

     

    Having 2000+ people employed by blizzard, probably ~500 are working on Wow. So comparing Wow to just bash is a bit of a stretch.

     

    Though as Bash mentioned, SMS/Phone and such that were already suggested wont happen, which brings me back to the very original post mentioned by @Bloodevil about making things like invincible mobs to trick the system or upping the required level for drops. Doing things that we do know for a fact are possible and somewhat simple to do and are also a quicker solution.

    I think though, when @Bash first read this post he thought it was for something along the lines of security for the account (since he mentioned 2FA), like receive an email when a new ip has logged your account, instead of slowing down bot accounts.

    Captcha codes or sms notifications both are not ideal solutions.

     

    You have to remember this game is from 2006, engine is probably 2004? You can't guarantee modern functions in a dated engine.
