  5. welcome to VGN and to SB. Enjoy your time. Make sure you check out the Guides, as there is plenty of helpful information.
  6. If you come across someone that you believe to be hacking/cheating/exploiting/botting, please do one of the following things immediately; 1. Take a screenshot (if applicable to what's happening), then upload that Imgur/photobucket/somewhere else or 2. Take a video. there are MANY free video recorders (FRAPS, Nvidia Experience App has built-in recorder press Alt-F9, BandiCam, etc). Make sure you choose a high enough quality to show names clearly. Then post it on YouTube. Once you've done that, you must submit a ticket, with appropriate evidence links -> http://www.vendettagn.com/support.vgn If you submit a ticket, without proof, nothing can be done. If you see something that is happening repeatedly, take another video/SS and submit new ticket. Tickets will get answered in order, so please be patient! So don't ask about it through chatbox or make forum posts asking GMs to look into it. It WILL be reviewed.

  10. So that wonderful Character screen (Shortcut of C), what do all those wonderful numbers mean?! Hopefully this guide will help all you people make sense of all the math (is that like a 4 letter swear word?!) involved in SB. Atk - Your standard damage Acc - chance to hit Def - You defense score Void - Damage Reduction Eva - Your "dodge" chance Spd - How fast you move Crit-Rate - your change for critical damage Crit-Atk - the damage caused by a successful crit Crit-Void - damage reduction for crit-atk Crit-eva - Dodge for a crit-rate CH-acc - chance to hit a chakra based attack Ch-Atk - your attack damage for chakra based damage Ch-Eva - Evasion of a chakra attack CH-Re - Damage reduction against a chakra attack Def Pierce - The ability to reduce your targets Def score Void Pierce - The ability to reduce targets Void score CH Pierce - The ability to reduce your targets ChRe score DoT reduction - reducing the time of a Damage over Time attack PVP Attack - a bonus % score to your atk score for PVP damage only PVP Void - Void bonus against PVP based attacks PVP Def - Def bonus against PVP attack PVP Spec-ATK - something that hasn't been implemented in game, so Ignore! So most all these scores (except atk, ch-atk, speed and Def) are actually % amounts, shown in a number score. Every 100 points is 1%. The math of SB is very simple, once explained. Here is how it breaks down. Acc % - Eva Score = your true % to hit someone. Example if I have an Acc of 125% and I am attacking someone with an Eva score of 5000 that means that my real chance to hit is 75%. So acc 125% - Eva 5000 (or 50%) = 75%. Easy, right? Ch-Acc - Ch-Eva = % of a ch-atk landing Crit-rate - Crit-Eva = % chance of crit-atk landing So what happens when an attack has both a normal attack AND a ch-atk. Well, they are treated two different attacks. That means that (using WH Hook attack as an example) the "pull" portion of the attack is based on Acc and the ch-atk portion of the attack is based on ch-acc. You can "miss" the pull, but still hit the Ch-atk damage, depending on your Acc/ch-acc % score, or visa versa. Ch-Acc % also effects things like Stun/Disable/Immobilize and can be avoided with the ch-Eva stat. So now you've hit someone, how much damage do you do?! Keep in mind that Atk, Ch-Atk and Crit-Atk damage are all treat as seperate attacks when calculating damage Atk score + Skill atk Score - Void (damage reduction %) - Def = Real amount of damage Ch-Atk + Ch-Atk skill score - CH-Re (CH-Atk damage reduction %) = real amount of Ch-Atk damage Crit-Atk - Crit-Void (crit-atk damage reduction) = real crit-atk damage The Def-Pierce/Ch-Pierce/Void Pierce/DoT reduction scores are applied to gears starting at L40. People at lower levels can get those scores, if you have Ancient jewels applied on your gears. The example would be: Atk - (Void - Void Pierce %) - (Def - Def Pierce %) = Attack damage. The PVP Void and PVP Def scores only apply to the normal Atk damage and do NOT apply to crit-atk or ch-atk Hopefully that makes some sense to the math of SB!
  11. I know that there are a lot of people that have some connection issues (unable to connect or getting disconnect randomly). Here are some things you should look at to try and minimize your connection issues! 1. Rebooting your computer sometimes help clear things out 2. Make sure that your network, or wireless, card drivers are up to date 3. Reboot your router and/or your cable/dsl box. Doing a "hard reboot" is a good thing to try. That means unplugging to 30sec and then plugging it back in. A soft reboot would be hitting the power button (if your router/mode box has an actual button) 4. Check to make sure that you are running the latest firmware for your router. many routers have a self-updating feature that can save you if you have little technical knowledge. Even if it doesn't, updating most routers is extremely simply and straightforward. 5. Check out speedtest.net and see how that works. The misconception people have is that you need a high bandwidth connection and you won't have problems. Online gaming takes up little bandwidth, but it is the latency (response time, also know as ping) that determines your lag. Make sure that you are selecting Paris, France as your test point. 6. If you are using Wi-Fi, try to reposition yourself to try and weed out deadzones in your home. if your router has external antennas, most of those can be replaced with much more powerful versions at very little cost -> http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100166808 4093&IsNodeId=1&Description=antennas&name=Network Antennas&Order=BESTMATCH&isdeptsrh=1 7. If you are using a wireless connection, try going wired. If you are already wired, try switch out your network cable. It's uncommon those go bad, but if you done all else, try that. 8. If you are uploading anything, that can seriously put the hurt on your latency. Make sure that you have things like torrent programs turned off and even things like Steam (and similar programs) that like to auto-update stuff on their own and suck up your precious bandwidth. 9. Flush your DNS. Open a command window and type "ipconfig /flushdns" press Enter, close out the command window and restart your computer. 10. If you are using WiFi, check your power options. Sometimes, depending on your settings, your Wifi can go into a low performance mode to save on power. 11. As it's been said many times here, try using a VPN to get a closer connection to the server. The physical distance between you and the server will create additional latency, leading to lag and/or disconnection issues. The server is physically located in Paris, France. So in your VPN searches, try to find something partway between where you live and that. A couple of options to try would be WTFast or NordVPN 12. If all else fails, it's time to contact your ISP for additional help. Depending on what connection you use, many ISPs may have updated hardware that they can switch out at little to no cost (as it's usually factored into your monthly fee anyways). Don't be afraid to ask for the latest and greatest from them! Nate aka DrDieLess
  12. I'm sad, I play the game in silence. I don't even have sound enabled in game.
  13. ok, so if you want to take the fast route to advancing to different areas, follow this guide; 1. To go from Enocia to Mereholt; Simply complete quests up to and including Meet The Batrachians quest (L16 Main quest) and be L20+ to advance 2. To go from Mereholt to Barbiron; Complete the L27 Main quest line, in Mereholt, starting with Subduing the Earthborne Maulers and ending with Greenback Grizzlies and be L30+ to advance 3. if you have a desire to go to Scylla; Complete the L36 Main quests in Barbiron, ending with Echoes of the Past, and be L39+ To go to Viledon, you simply need to be L30+ To go to Nemesis, you need to be L39+ To go to Ellis, you need to be L49+ To go to Amara, you need to be L59+. You can access it through Suer or Barbiron (as long as you've completed the L27 quests to unlock Barbiron) Remember to do Main quests at level 19, 21, 23, 48 and the 15 day quest at L49 to get your skill points. That's just the fast way to advance to the new areas. You can always go back and complete all the other quests. Only quests you may miss out are quests in Caergate (L23-29) and Viledon (L30-L39) as they are PVP zones and you won't be able to go in if you are higher levels. Don't worry, there is no special items you are missing out on. If you are L50+, and haven't completed your L40s quests, fear not. You can access Nemesis V2 through Lounge. Only downsides of Nem V2 is that auto-travel for quests don't work. To complete the L48 skill point quest, it is around Lava Monument and here are the quests; The L49 15 day skill point quest, called Skill Crystal A and Skill Crystal B, is started in front of the opposing faction's base. Start with killing Whippers, and all the remaining quests as shown in the screenshot below; Edited to reflect L60+
  14. my L39 PU has dual 116 on weapon,. 120 is the max. That's also why it's random too. here's a screenshot of my weapon and glove;
  15. Way back in the early days of A-SB, when I made my medic, i thought it was amusing to call her DrDieLess. That naming scheme kinda stuck with all my toons; DrLoliLess, my a-sb SE (thanks Kira) DrUseLess, my a-sb DE (thanks Kite, and you all know that name perfectly describes the class :P) DrDerpLess, my a-sb L29 ME (again, amusing Kira suggestion) DrWhipLess, an a-sb WH (if that wasn't obvious) then renamed to DrWhipples (thanks Joel and my only too to deviate from the Dr***Less naming scheme) DrHealLess, what i named my L39 Medic in A-SB Thought about making a CB called DrDickLess, but never got around to it. But here, I have my L54 DrDieLess medic and then made a PU called DrShootLess. ps. to Cro & Cuddles who thought I made another toon to mock them. You aren't worth the time/effort/gold to do something like that
