  1. It seems like newcomers aren't interested in PvP. Or to put it blatantly, the old SB culture is dead and the attitude of live-and-let-live is threatening to replace it. ...ummm... Is it really bad if people in SB no longer do PvP? If people can PvP somewhere else, is it really worth it to preserve the BG's? Giving rewards as an extrinsic motivation to make them do what they don't want to do... I think it only work on kids. The way I see it, those BG rewards are the ones that doesn't help at all. Perhaps, it makes it worse by attracting the weak looters more than the PvP-capable players.
  2. Make all BG's purely for PvP by removing all the extraneous benefits of doing it. No more rewards in winning. No more valuable drops. Having "something" to fight over may be an effective motivation to fight one other but I highly doubt it is socially healthy. The sole reward for doing BG's should be just the PvP experience itself. All the items that are currently obtainable exclusively on BG should instead be given as reward for doing world bosses, mini bosses, zone quests, dungeons and other non-BG related activities. It doesn't make BG meaningless. Only those with balls would dare enter BG's which would result in a more meaningful PvP experience. The looters' frustrations on cancelled matches, gone cuz the loot is no longer there but readily obtainable outside instead. And all these are doable even without the source code. Think about it.
  3. 5FK vs 1RG... Why not? It's all on each participant's discretion what to do in such situation. I believe there's no point in forcing balance thru number of participants. One-to-one ratio of participants doesn't necessarily mean an even match. Shame on the 5 FK's if they all pick on and bully preventing the lone RG to loot or even land a single kill. On contrast, huge shame on the 5 FK's if the lone RG is bullying them all.
