  1. This is a small guide to help you with the problem of putting Whitelist applications to allow their execution. Tips for NosTale In the case of the Firewall, exclude the patcher.exe file located inside the NosTale Vendetta folder, once selected in the list it will appear as Launcher.exe. In the case of the Antivirus, exclude the entire NosTale Vendetta folder. First option - Whitelisting with the Windows Firewall Step 1: Click Start and type firewall Step 2: Click Windows Firewall. Step 3: Click Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall (or, if you’re using Windows 10, click Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall). Step 4: On the next screen, click Change settings, then tick or untick the box next to an item to allow or block it. Second option - Deactivate your Firewall Step 1: Click Start and type firewall Step 2: Click Windows Firewall. Step 3: Click on Customize Settings. Step 4: On the next screen, tick Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended) in both places. Note: I recommend using this option only in case you have antivirus. Third option - Add an exclusion to Windows Security (Windows 8/10). Step 1: Click Start and type Settings. Step 2: Click Settings. Step 3: Click on Update & Security. Step 4: Click on Windows Security. Step 5: Click on Virus & threat protection. Step 6: Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings. Step 7: Under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions. Step 8: Select Add an exclusion, and then select from files, folders, file types, or process. The exclusion will apply to subfolders within a folder as well. Fourth option - Exclude Specific Folder/File/Program/Application from All Avast Scans Step 1: Open the Avast user interface and go to Settings -> General. Step 2: Find the tab Exclusions and add specific programs to the File paths tab. Step 3: Added applications and/or paths will now be excluded from any Avast scanning. Note: the route where the folder is located for this case must be copied. Fifth option - Add Exception for Specific Avast Antivirus Shield Step 1: Open the Avast user interface and go to Settings -> Active Protection. Step 2: Select the shield (File System, Mail, or Web) for which you want to add the exception, and click on Customize link. Step 3: Find the menu item Exclusions and add the item you want to exclude from scanning by the specific Avast shield. You can also specify when the exclusion applies (for reading, writing, or executing). Step 4: Please note that global exclusions are always applied although they aren’t listed in the specific shield. Also please note a lot of items are listed there by default. Note: the route where the folder is located for this case must be copied. Sixth option - Malwarebytes for Windows exclusions Step 1: Open Malwarebytes for Windows. Step 2: Click Settings, then click the Exclusions tab. Step 3: To add an item to the exclusion list, click Add Exclusion. Step 4: Select the type of exclusion you want to add. Step 5: Click Next, then follow the next prompt to add your exclusion and confirm your changes. Seventh option - Exclude a File or Folder with Malwarebytes Step 1: Click Exclude a File or Folder, then click Next. Step 2: Click Select Files or Select Folder. Step 3: Choose the file or folder you wish to exclude, then click Open. Step 4: Under How to Exclude, choose how you would like to exclude the file or folder. - Exclude from detection as malware, ransomware or potentially unwanted item - Exclude from detection as malware or potentially unwanted item only - Exclude from detection as ransomware only Step 5: Click OK to confirm your changes. Once the steps are done, remember to open the launcher and click on Verify. It depends on the antivirus, maybe need to restart the computer to make the changes.
