Tessiia
Sorry to post another one of these but I have tried everything so I will try and give as much info here as possible. Windows 10 (Have all three of the following running in compatibility mode for windows 8: SB.exe - SBLauncher.exe - xm.exe and all 3 running as administrator) Malwarebytes (Currently not running/turned off) Windows defender, added SB.exe - SBLauncher.exe - xingcode.dll - xm.exe to exclusions separately along with the directory so no issue there I would assume I have installed all of the files the install me file with all Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 to 2015 and directx9 Flushed DNS Tries with firewall turned off and also added the three following files to the allow list in the firewall: SB.exe - SBLauncher.exe - xm.exe This is a completely fresh install of the game showing up as 10.5GB I do have a VPN but it is not running There is no run_game.bat which is mentioned in the sticky so I run the launcher, hit play, log in successfully and hit start game - nothing happens, no window in the bottom right, nothing in the taskbar drop-down background tasks thing, nothing in the task manager... no signs of life at all. If I run SB.exe I do get the XIGNCODE3 window in the bottom right and I see scarlet blade in the task manager but nothing else (as I guess is expected). I'm at a loss, any help would be great. Edit: I tried with the VPN turned on and now this error pops up: gameguard error e0190304 Edit2: I have tried the XIGNCode fix - Now I get a poppup with 0xE0191009 - Error: Failed to update XIGNCODE due to insufficient hard drive space or because the program is being blocked by a firewall or anti-virus software. (Definitely not a lack of hard drive space). I added the prgrams back into the firewall allow list, with the VPN active the list is different and now I get no errors but I'm back to square one, when I launch the game, nothing happens. Edit 3: I have Disable Full screen optimisations on both SB.exe and SBLauncher.exe - no difference
Norleras
If you go to Task Manager, what do you have running under "Processes"?
Tessiia
Nothing relating to either scarlet blade or xign Edit: For clarity, here are screenshots of my processes running: https://photos.app.goo.gl/a7cfgvYiCZTn6BVt9 Ignore anything to do with NCSoft, it wasn't there when I tried to run Scarlet Blade. Windows processes are not included, if they are needed I can get them too.
Tessiia
Just to add, I have verified game files, even though it is a clean install, I done it before anyone here asks me to
Norleras
If I'm understanding the situation correctly, you've got something on your computer that is interfering with SB. I'd suggest you start deactivating some of those processes and try running SB with them deactivated. A lot of things can interfere with SB in terms of the load up. Not to sound ungrateful for the response but this seems so generic, I have seen it given to many people. Did you actually look at the screenshots? I clean my PC of unwanted software and clean up processes every few weeks and I had a big tidy up before sending that list over and testing so there really was not much to kill but for arguments sake I did... I killed any process that wasn't windows, nvidia or sound related. Still no change.
Norleras
I saw the screenshots and 71 background processes were still running as well as 4 applications open. Experiment with shutting any combination of them down and try running SB. That was what I was hoping to get across. Ok well this morning I tried to shut down more, I had 0 apps and 55 processes running but still nothing.
Tessiia
No solutions to this then? It's a shame, I used to play this back when it initially launched in Alpha (though it if you know anything about game design you know it wasn't alpha, it was beta, they just called it alpha to make you feel more special about the fact you were playing it). When you get past the overly sexualised style of the game it was actually very fun to play and I would love to get back into it again but it seems it's just broken for some people I guess... Activate "DEP" and add the SB launchers, and you already have it active from before, just add the SB launchers, now if it does not start the game deactivate and restart PC (I'm not sure if it was necessary to restart when deactivating but at Activate it if you have to restart your PC) With this enabled, some games may not work for you, what you have to do is disable it or add the game launcher 4 hours ago, Tessiia said: ¿No hay soluciones para esto entonces? The last option is to reinstall Windows 10 on another Disk or on another Partition and install Microsoft Visual C ++ only what is necessary to play any Game, when you install other games and request to install Microsoft Visual C ++ do not install them. It could damage your games (it is more common in Windows 7 than in Windows 10 the same but it is less frequent) it is better that you test if the game works and if it does not work, look for the solution on the internet and you are asked to install Microsoft Visual C ++ of a specific year, see if you have it because it could be another mistake and you would only damage your games more. You have many background processes, the normal thing would be 50 something, I have many downloaded games and applications and I only get 54 background processes, max minimum 24 but only when I turn on the PC :v I know that my English is not good, but it's not mine, it's from google xd
Norleras
I have given you my suggestion of experimenting with turning off whatever combination of your background processes listed. It's not like I can go over there and tinker with the computer for you. No one knows your system better than you or the one who set it up in the first place. Norleras
I'd like to believe they already went through that.
NCChris12944
Actually my guess for this situation is that some app or some feature might be blocking the game or not allowing it. Maybe rechecking everything is a good idea and after rechecking go restart. That's what I did.
kwmayan
@Tessiia - I did not read all of the posts on here, but if you have not tried this yet, do the following. Right click on the Shortcut for Scarlet Blade Vendetta. Find the SBLauncher.exe Right click on this and choose properties Click on the compatibility tab Check the box for compatibility mode and choose Windows 7 Click OK Try launching your game again.
