Attacker Damage Guide Simplified

Recommended Posts

Full Damage Guide:

The other thread is very hard to follow, especially because of all of the Variables that don't have an organized Legend.

So here is the full Damage formula in plain text, as the attacker only.

Formula:

WeaponDamage = WeaponBaseDmg * ( UpgradeLevel - DefenderUpgradeLevel )

Spoiler

Practical Advice: To maximize this damage, look for high base damage on the Weapon, and the Upgrade level of it.

PhysicalDamageBase = ( WeaponDamage + CharacterPhysicalDmg + GearPhysicalDmg + SpecialistPhysicalDmg + ShellEnhancedDmg ) * ( 1 + Shell%IncreasedDmg )

Spoiler

Practical Advice: To maximize this damage, buy Upgrades from Calvin Coach, Doggo and buy Journal of the Forgotten Hero, and Lord Cuarray's Attack Strategy for CharacterPhysicalDmg. GearPhysicalDmg can be found on Laurena's Accessories, or Dragonrider's Gloves. ShellEnhancedDmg refers to the Shell Effect "Enhanced Attack Damage: X" and Shell%IncreasedDmg Refers to "S - Increased Damage: X%"

PhysicalTotal = ( PhysicalDamageBase + SkillPhysicalDmg + 15 ) * ( 1 + Shell%DmgToRace * Races ) * ( 1 + GearProcDmg - MonkBuff )

Spoiler

GearProcDmg is the effect you find on weapons that say "X% Chance to increase Damage by X%", the MonkBuff decreases that damage.
Shell%DmgToRace refers to effects like "increased damage to plants", "demons", etc.

Practical Advice: Some creatures have multiple races, but it doesn't multiply the Shell effects, if you have a low level plant, and you have "damage to lower society" and "damage to plants" these increases merely add to each other. But they're still highly effective

ElementDmgBase = ( PhysicalTotal + 100 ) * ( Fairy%Element + Specialist%Element )

Spoiler

Practical Advice: Your Elemental Damage is based from your PhysicalTotal, so any increases in the lowest part of the hierarchy is the most effective.

ElementTotal = ( ElementDmgBase + GearElementDmg + SkillElementDmgShellEnhancedElementEnergy)

Spoiler

Practical Advice: As you can see, this damage doesn't get multiplied anymore, so stats like "All Elemental Energies increased" are very weak compared to "All attacks are increased". I advise not to invest in this type of stat, unless you get something like 2000 fire damage or something like that.

DamageTotal = PhysicalTotal + ElementTotal

HowToRead: To make it more viewable, the formulas are seperated in hierarchy and insert into each other. So the formula you read at the top is inserted into the next one.

For Interactions with Buffs and Debuffs refer to the original Guide, this should enable you to read it.

Bases on that formula, almost all dmg comes from weapon base dmg * upgrade. Compared to everything else, enhanced is not that op

attack with +10 weapon and defend with +10 armor means upgrade bonus is 0 you know? how often you attack defence level 0?

I edited in the fact that your upgrade level gets reduced by enemy defense level to make a more clear view of it.

Most upgrade level damage comes from going up from +9 to +10. It will be like going from 26k dmg to 34k dmg

  • Confused 1

maybe if you attack def lvl 0 i goes from 26k to 34k, but not against higher deff levels. just to make this clear, since deff level gets substracted from attack level. Your 2. Sentence kinda confused me about this at first ._.

edit:

also everyone wants the highest atk pp on their sp, wich enhances the same Value.. so if you got 50 atk pp but no enhanced its like having 35 atk pp and 150 enhanced ;)
