Pretty sure people said the same thing about Phantasy Star Online(: Blue Burst), which is much older than GF (we're talking Dreamcast/early Gamecube graphics old). There's still people playing it to this day, and new people joining the BB servers even after 15+ years (more like after 12-13 years, but the 15+ includes the Dreamcast and Gamecube versions). It's not big, but it's definitely got a decent following. Same thing would most likely happen with GFV if there are enough people willing to play a version of GF that will likely be much better handled than it's ever been under Aeria and .it. We'll just have to wait until VGN's current games get the attention they need and the team decides it's time to host another game, and whether or not they decide to pick Grand Fantasia.

And whether or not the Siwa server really does suffer a swift and painful death like others feel it will, assuming its presence will also be a factor taken into consideration.

    Just being realistic, man.

  2. Most ex GF players now play other games like WoW, PuBG, OW and others.
Those players won't be coming back.
Attracting new players would be difficult with the new games out there and GF being almost 10 years old and aesthetically unappealing.

I wanna see this happen as much as the next guy, but I don't see it happening.

  3. I just made my first purple on the PS. And no, you couldn't have been playing the GF PS for 7 years if it opened like 3 years ago (?!)

Why reduce the cap to 80? Because you're feeling nostalgic about when that cap was in place? It won't be the same even if it happened.

Custom Content, in my opinion, is a no-go. Custom content kills the feeling of the game for most people, and will likely shear off a solid chunk of the population who would rather play Ignit simply because it's un-edited. Sure, you can call the little ignit dude (ex-players know what I'm talking about, the NPC that sold shit-tier shop buffs) custom content, but that was only to provide a quality-of-life increase. In terms of bosses, raids, etc, I would rather see that dev time go towards updating and patching the game. Stuff that actually matters.

The npc with low level SKBs and stat pots?

Not only is that npc useless (it sells crafting enchantments for low levels, the buying of which is equal to throwing your money away), but the stuff it sells doesn't work. Idk if it's bugged or made intentionally useless, but it's an offense to everyone's intellect.

That's a poor example of custom content.

@SaintlyBlaze I don't see the problem with what you showed. A person would get the same treatment here if they shit on GMs/GS. If you wanna complain in a respectful way, by all means go ahead. That post is 100% classy, in my opinion.

That post may be classy, but not the attitude with which the staff treats the players.
