[Trade Limit Removed (Till Monday)]

Hey all,

We've listened to the communities concerns as they did not have any time to react to this change. We have removed the Trade Limit until Monday, this will give everyone enough time to grab items off their alt accounts.

We feel 3 days is enough time for you all to react and get comfortable with the change. Do not see this as a position of weakness either, the Trade Limit is returning we are just being understanding towards some of your concerns.

I don't think making it purchaseable at an NPC is an option.

We could just improve the drop rates (if they're complicated) but as it stands a lot of people have already done the quest.

If you have a Trade Limit you cannot pick up items dropped by another player.

It's not like we're making you do a lot now is it? I understand the inconvenience but hey... you're being asked to play the game. If you skipped the quest line and paid gold (you probably bought from epvp) to get power levelled that's on you. If you have 10 alts that's YOUR concern, we base our game on single players not those who need 10 alts.

But where would be the problem to activate the trading system for people who are like above c45

The main reason was not because of gold selling at all. The main reason is to slow down the illegal activity going on in-game.

As I explained in this thread:

A LOT of gold selling/buying, botting and other illegal activities are done with low level alt accounts. The idea is to slow people down so they don't create a ton of alts and it then makes our job easier to stop them.

Am I saying this is going to 110% stop all of this? No, I am not an idiot to think it will. Go look at the gold seller discords right now... it's funny to watch they're all in a state of panic.

If you see this as a problem then I see this as a solution, why? Because as I stated previously A LOT of the community have bought gold, A LOT of the community sells gold. Everyone making a scene is most likely those people who are involved in this claiming to be "innocent".

Theres a whole picture here not just "how to get myself from A -> B". You just have to bare with us and give us time to teeth through the changes to find a balance that suits all. Every single complaint is coming from a situation based on tunnel vision and that's not how we do things here.

We didn't do any of these changes lightly and the fact peoples only argument to return to us is about the gold sellers goes to show how many people really don't understand the changes.

I've explained the decisions on both the price changes and the Trade Limit I'd prefer it if everyone just go on with things.

Economy changes are never fixed over night.

Sorry about that everyone, things should be back as normal. There was a poor update provided by our operating system provider which caused a lot of lag. It was fixed quite quickly by them luckily so the lag should stop now.

Sorry everyone, I have to fix a problem with the network. Seems to be an issue with the latest software update for our operating system. Causing a lot of issues.

We had this initial idea to do for all existing only but tbh we prefer everyone doing it so they appreciate the work. Most of the 99+50 already have the level and rep so it's just a case of doing the quest line.

He is still playing but he gave you names, now you fucked all server to do quests because your "GOLD TRADE SYSTEM" detected a lot of cheating and it was impossible to scape HAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, it's obvious if you get a report and you ban you have 50-50% chance to ban a gold buyer but if you banned 100 players, maybe you only caught 10 gold traders and 90 innocent people went to shit.

I think add suggestions on easing the early player experience if you can. We will help new players get comfortable and be able to do their actions by themselves.

Just write a list and explain it all and we will work towards creating a happy medium but the system will remain.

Then go and play one of the half complete emulator servers that collect plain text passwords. Maybe even go back to GF who are probably close to closing down. Either way, this change to the game remains and if you can't complete a quest line, gain a small fraction of Reputation and gain a very easy to obtain level then maybe it's best you don't play games any longer.

Second thing is that you are doing illegal things against the law  When somebody buy for example VGN points and sell stuff for gold then u take it it's like you're stealing money which somebody paid to get VGN coins but I'm gonna consult this with a lawyer to make sure if I'm right or wrong so I bet u should concider ur attitude.

I acknowledge the attempt to fix an issue. But in turn you might have made it even worse.
 

Go to a different server, don't hold that against us for doing something we believe is right for the server. If you can't comprehend the fact that you have to do some very small goals then that's on you. Instead of wasting time crying on the forums about something that I will not change why don't you just go do it and then it's done?

Stop new players as an excuse because when new players come in, players like you call them trash, push them away or alienate them if they don't pay you an arm and a leg for any help. So don't start because I've played this game as an undercover new player recently and believe me the "poor experience" is far from a patch like this.

I think about the server as a whole and a decision like this was for the best. The growth of the server will be fine and we'll continue helping grow the server.

But... this is going to negatively impact the game too. Trading will be restricted to a small portion of players - people that dont meet the requirements will stop farming items to sell them at basar (e-feathers for example) - people will do less raids because boxes are harder to sell - the economy will be driven by a smaller group of high end players - new players will find it extremely discouraging and most of them will just give up on the way (its boring to do so many quests especially when you are 10-20 levels higher and the entire dynamic of the server is fast paced) 

Ultimately the overall trading will be impacted too, the average player will not be able to contribute to the economy, prices will be dictated by the big guys only. Average players will be pushed aside while the big guys will have an entire closed economy which will make the game less social/farming less fun/raiding also less fun/ it will almost feel like a single player until the requirements are reached and by this point most casual players/newcomers will have already given up.

As I said above though, I understand why you did it, but in the long term it is essential to think of a different strategy

We won't sit complacent on this idea, once we find other solutions we will change ofc.

The economy is going to take a hit for sure, it might be a case we increase drops or something in the future, make other much needed items more accessible. But for now let's see how it goes.

[Trade Limit Explained]

So,

A lot of you are not understanding the concept behind the Trade Limit that we've applied. We understand it comes as an inconvenience we really do. However, 6 days downtime and a lot of work is more of an inconvenience, if we don't continue to push against those attempting to break rules we will continue having these problems.

9/10 of any case we look into in regards to anything in relation to exploits, gold buying/selling, botting and any other illegal activity that happens in-game is done by using a low level alt account.

So think about it... the Trade Limit slows down the process a lot for these people.

I'm not saying that there will no longer be gold sellers or buyers because hey... as long as someone pays someone will do it. But I am saying each time we catch a bot, gold buyer/seller, exploiter they have to go through the goals again. Eventually it won't be worth it for the people doing these activities.

Now before there is thread after thread, think of the whole picture. The goal we're trying to accomplish here is to keep this game as clean as we can. We understand that it's an inconvenience but this game is more than just trading please remember that.

That being said, for only a few hours of your time you will be capable of trading again and all is well. Do not break rules and guess what? You're done... simple.

So relax please and understand we're doing this for the benefit of the server.
