    Yes, VGN is where almost all the problems of the game can be fixed which we can all agree on, but my point is, how does this topic benefit the server overall. What is your point of view that explains why this change is beneficial. As my argument is that archers defence is traded for damage and thus ressistance which is what I'm sticking to, so constructively tell me why I'm wrong and prove it.

    You're right, my opinion is useless, useless to anyone unwilling to listen and have a solid argument on the matter that could potentially improve the game for all of us, if you want these stat bonuses on archer class, then give me a proper and solid argument that will change my mind - scratch that, give Bash a solid reason on why these stat changes will improve the game, because right now you are the only user who is requesting this change and havent proven a reason that will makes it utterly necessary aside of using personal remarks against me to gauge a reaction from me. If you want Bash to listen to you, then insulting me on a personal level wont validate changing the game and getting your point across.

    This is how the game has always been when it comes to armour, so tell me why it should change now.

    Never did I say archer shouldn't have stats such as anti crit, I was pointing in the fact that he was asking for higher bonuses on his armour stats which throws the basic game balancing off, (everyone takes this the wrong way when I'm just trying to explain day 1 class mechanics... And not how everything seems broken today).

    I also didn't say it is not fair that the bow gives HP, it was my reply to him implying that the mage robe gives more health than the archer robe, where the situation is that the bow and the armour both give hp, which was disregarded in his reply.

    I also never said Mage class was disadvantaged, I simply gave my response to chanel claiming that I just want to "rape archers with my -100 ress reduce", when the case is that I'm trying to get my point across into why archers ress is lower than the other classes due to their trade of damage for defence, not in any way regarding specialists as I said again in previous posts on this thread and I never implied that archer = scout either, the same way I want people to stop treating mage as if its only seer but its always the trope used when talking about game balancing.

    And last but not least... I didn't say 'oh  archer is this big shot class with such high damage that it cant be beat', I again simply stuck to the basics of the classes from the beginning, archer is suppoused to have high dmg and weak defence, mages medium damage and defence, and swordies high defence and low damage, but everyone takes this out of context and envisions that I'm talking about Specialists rather than the classes themselves, I take my stand from an overall perspective, and not from a personal regard.

    In a different forum post I stated that the reasoning for this was the equalization of HP/MP during the 6.2 update, the C38 and C48 HP&MP books is what I believe made our classes deviate from what they were intended to be.

    Mages defence was justified due to the small amount of HP, Swordsmans tankiness was lead by its HP that wasn't matched by Archers and Mages, while Archers had the damage to sufficiently kill the opponent fast enough before they are the one's killed. But now we all have health that compares to swordsmans which is the biggest buff you could give a mage in my opinion, mana shields such as Seer's definitely makes the SP very tanky, but the hp justified that, now we have this same specialist running around with 80k-90k HP in arena which is what I believe is the current problem for all classes. If we want true balance then I suggest the books give different amounts of Health and Mana to each class as 6.1 and 6.2 was the only update to change how our classes were meant to be.

    You're implying that the reason I stand for archers defensive attributes being weaker  than the other classes is just because I want to have an easy time with killing archers?

    You've completely misunderstood my point, but I don't know why I try and argue if you're not willing to see things from a 3rd person point of view, which is disregarding the fact that you play archer and that I play mage.

    I never contribute in an argument to go about requesting or denying things just because it will be advantageous for my class, I argue from the point of someone who views all points, weaknesses and strengths of each class and I use that to give my overall conclusion and my point is that the trade for damage was your ressistance and defense.

    You're also forgetting that your weapon also gives you 3,000 HP which means you get a total of 9,000 HP bonus.

    But fine by me, give archer class your 12% ress, delete ressistance reduce and delete Seer, if that is what will make your gaming experience an enjoyable one.

  6. Anyways overall, I made my point.

    Archer class has the highest damage and therefore weakest defence.

    Swordsmans has the highest defence, and therefore weakest damage.

    Mages have medium damage, and medium defence as a whole and not regarding the single Specialist such as Seer which has more defence than other Mage SP's, if you want to argue about specialists, we can be take that to a different discussion page.

    If you don't like your class having the lowest defence for more damage, and think its underpowered why did you choose it, if you want more defense over critical hits and dodge, why are you playing archer. If Mage seems so overpowered to you and its values are what you desire, why aren't you playing mage, simple, no one is stopping you from changing class. Once Archers have the same armour stats as Mages and Swordsmans then there's no trade-off for your damage, and I'm not talking personally here, I'm talking from a game design perspective and trying to explain to you the reason why archers armour is weaker.

    Every class can reduce up to 83-85%, but that is dependant on their decision to invest in an R8 Shadow Stone and ressistance reduce set, Mage SP's can reduce more due to their skills but that is because we can't do higher amounts of damage unless we reduce ress, + Mage SP's ress reduce has always been the same and wasn't made to revolve around an item like the Shadow Stone, the Shadow Stone was added in exclusively for VGN and it'd be a disservice to yourself not to utilize it as a mage. Furthermore due to how VGN is more faster paced in terms of progress, a good amount of users are able to get ressistances that completely negate any reduces making these sets useless, but in a 3v3 or mode that requires more than 1 person, that is unavoidable as it's not likely to have enough ressistance to cover all elements at once which is where this set up is best and works to our advantage.

    I also understand your frustration towards the Seer Specialist, but I don't believe that it means that the entire class is broken because we have other ways of killing our opponents such as ressistance reduce, even I understand how frustrating it feels to be reduced in ressistance but its just another method to kill the opponent, take away too much and there isn't anything left that makes mages a unique and formidable opponent as a class.

    I also never said mage is or is not balanced, but I definitely wont sit still when the entire archer community wants to nerf us untill we're unmatched against them, just like Swordsmans SP 2-8, just because we have our own ways of winning, and I can only imagine that the majority of archers wont be happy untill its the only class left that is viable for pvp. This is not a stab at you but this is ohnestly how I look at how it is overall.

    This discussion is about base stats of armour pieces, and not specialists, I'm not here to talk about SP's like Seer and get off topic but dps does not = damage, they are two completely separate things and this discussion is not about dps. And before you see this as a defense to seer, I've already said this topic is about balancing of armour stats, which is what I replied to without regarding anything other than what is set in stone for each class from the beginning of the game, not SP's.

  10. I'm also not a big fan of Squizzy as we had beef in UK server and VGN so we've been enemies for a long while, but I can agree that the game is a bit off when it comes to properly tracking each individual characters movement and position roughly 10% of the time.

    An example is when people who think their character is inside the safe zone but gets killed unexpectedly because they aren't registered in safe by the game, and same reason you could be in a group for buffs but everyone else thinks you're so far away and that you're going to miss them when you're actually in the middle of them on your screen and you get the buffs regardlessly.

     But if Squizzy has done multiple sketchy things in the past that has been proven and accumulated then I can respect and see why the decision of a Permanent Ban was given as it would be the obvious choice aside from those reporting due to in-game hatred.

    So overall I'm not saying this to defend Squizzy as I'm not really bothered to whether he gets unbanned or not, but instead I just examined the evidence and applied it to my own and friends experience from the game so that it can be used for future reference, as when you watch the second clip, the Scout moves back and forth on the Sin's screen, but on the Scouts screen he had no extra movements which would deviate him from his attack which I believe could have been an example of what happened in the first clip as from Siseneri's point of view its clearly a hack, but because Squizzy wasn't recording we didn't get to see the shot from his point of view.

Ohnestly this is just the results when you play on a private server, if you played official mages were one of the weakest classes, but the difference here is that everyone here is playing with max potential equipment that only a few users would be able to obtain in a real server, thus making certain specialists shine more than others, yes Seer is a tanky SP, yes its used by the majority of mage users, but that's only because it's in a ranking that is compared to the likes of Scout when our other specialists are not, Seer's mana shield in my opinion is also not that of a giant concern as mages have the lowest health pull in the game, before C38-C48 HP/MP books, no one was complaining, but this changes a lot as each class is given the same amount of bonus hp.

    Mage is in the middle when it comes to Damage and Defense, and I could see the reason for the class having a Mana Shield far greater than the others as Mages aren't suppoused to have as much HP as they have now, as in a PvP, little damage would eventually be enough to kill our class over time, thus giving a shield to match that statement as you can die very quickly in other SP's.

    So my overall statement is, the Specialist is not broken, it's just the fact that the gap was broken between all our classes in terms of Health and Mana, which was the biggest buff you could ever give a mage and biggest downfall to swordies who wouldn't have enough general damage to fight people with HP that compares to them, mages are now rolling around with almost 50k HP amounts and then add that with Mind sink, but if that same Mage had around 30-35k HP (60k-70k HP in arena), so if you did at least 2,000 damage you would only need around 30 hits to kill a Seer, then the results would be far more different and having a Mana shield and Mind sink is more justified. So personally the Specialist is not the problem, its the class gap that has been broken with the 6.2 Update with Entwell's decision to make all the books equal, which goes against the game's balancing that was in-place from the start.

    I know a lot of the archers in the community wont agree with me but this is the truth in my own opinion, Seer is not OP, the games balancing was just thrown out the window when the Champion Books came out. So Instead of nerfing one of our only viable options, every class just needs to stay in their lane when it comes to HP and MP in order to keep the balance.

  12. Daily quests in Volcano Gate, Kertos' Jaws and I believe the daily in Valakus Claws might possibly give some exp.

    Middle right of Port Alveus you can find the Legendary Hunter which will also give you a lot of exp for daily quests.

I'm not gonna lie, I agree with Nayxa on some points, some SP's are just un-matched when it comes to fighting each other, if you really want to kill a Seer, you cant mindlessly attack it and hope for the best if you know you're at a disadvantage with your current SP, its best to to come prepared to fights and counter with other specialist's that have abilities that are more likely to kill the opponent such as Demon Hunter with mana cuts or Assasin that deals heavy damage to the opponent, I'm not a fan of blaming a Specialist if the people struggling to fight it are unwilling to adapt simply because you may have invested all your funds in Scout, if I had my way I'd also want to remove buffs like morale and hawk but these are also things every player has to deal with, all SP's were not made equal and that's why you have to adapt or you wont be able to win at this game.

  14. My suggestions for PvP :

    Arena of Talents - Instead of registering in Arena, make the registration in all general maps.

    Add a 1v1 PvP mode to Arena of Talents, also with registration in general maps, no limit on entry for this mode (no need for rewards either just for fun).

    Arena - Create a second type of Arena with different rules such as having usernames hidden and a temporary leaderboard as you cant just go to normal arena and kill people without having personal confrontations afterwards such as aiming for specific players or banning them from raids because of arena, the temporary leaderboard would only be in that mode of Arena to see who has the highest kills and creates a reason for users to fight everyone, if you leave Arena your kill count is also back to 0 on re-entering so its only counts the players that are still within the map, it would also be great if another rule would be to freeze upon death for 3 seconds and spawn in safe zone so that classes such as Mages with 5 minute mana shields wont lose them upon respawning, if its possible to not lose buffs, death animations would be preffered to being frozen upon dying. I also believe this mode would be great as you cant just have fun in Channel 1 Unlimited Arena as its taken very seriously.

     

    FC - The main problem with FC is the fact that its main events such as the 4 elemental raids cater to only low players which are quite non-existant in our server. Adding an extra box reward item for 99+30's and higher would be a good reason for higher levels to attend, this box could include items depending on the raid such as a new type of trophy that is in the middle of Minor and Major (doesn't count towards x13 trophies to make major and cannot be upgraded) and an action point amount of maybe 15,000 - 20,000 is required to recieve this box.

    Examples :

    Lady Calvinas rewards could be :Calvinas's Staff - (Stats that focus particularly on Water Element attributes) / Blue Lvl. 35 Fairy / x3-x5-x7-x10 Small Sapphire / x3-x5-x7-x10 Sapphire of Completion / Small chance of Caligor's Horn

    Lord Morcos rewards could be :Morcos's Red Eye - (Stats that focus particularly on Fire Element attributes) / Red Lvl. 35 Fairy / x3-x5-x7-x10 Small Ruby / x3-x5-x7-x10 Ruby of Completion / Small chance of Caligor's Horn

    Obtaining raids could also be more interactive, an example was a short event in UK, every certain hour a giant Dark Horn would spawn at the top left or right of Bitoren Tundra and the faction that kills them wil have a guarantee'd raid regardless of the faction percentages, so maybe random map events could occur every x-hour or if something triggers it.

  16. Hello everyone!

    After discussing custom wings recently it really motivated me, so I wanted to talk with the community and see what kind of things they'd like to see, I'm extremely novice when it comes to art so I probably wont be able to conjure many things up yet, but I do intend on learning the craft and attempting to create NosTale sprites for the first time, I'll probably be studying for quite awhile, but it would be fun to try and test and see what I'm going into so if you have any fun suggestions or ideas, send them to me.

    Remember this is all just for fun.

  17. I think its best not to overcomplicate things.

    + Players would be complaining that their gold vanished because many people still are unaware of the banks existance, so it auto-moving to the bank without the users acknowledgment may not be the best idea.

It's probably not likely, making a Specialist +100 is more of an end-game (extra) thing to do and because of how rewarding it is their needs to be some difficulty in terms of how you obtain the gems, thus having them untreadable so that players would have to do the work themselves if they want to achieve the completion of their Specialist.

    But the main point is that perfection gems aren't suppoused to be traded in the first place which is why they released that way, so if you really want to maximise your perfection points you'll probably have to do that work or buy an already completed SP.

    But u can't get 180% all res easily. Avengers s6 are 112% all res; 10% allres with book; 2% res from character; 5% all res from costume hat; 30% all res from armour; 15% all res from perfection points = 174%. Still under 192% or under your "easily to get 180+% averall res".

    Dont forget to keep the facts.
    Also it's necessary to get the same things from two sides (res drain / more res) to balance smth.

    I know this is extremely off-topic but I want to get a point across, ressistance reduce and elemental damage exists for a reason just like Attack Damage, it's another way to defeat your opponent and not just something that is suppoused to be negated.

    If people reducing ressistance to gain an advantage in PvP wasn't meant to be or not acceptable, then it wouldn't be in the game.

    Mage class is specifically made to utilize these ressistance reduce attributes to deal damage that may not be possible for us with pure attack power alone as we cant crit, so using ressistance reduce is what gives us an edge on our opponents if they're lacking ressistance.

    Now, any user can obtain decent enough ressistance to counter this as there's always a counter measure for almost everything, but as I said before, Elemental Damage wasn't made to just be ignored thus making it an option to defeat the opponent which is why getting the best ressistance is a challenge.

    When it comes to how high you get your ressistances, it's really 100% up to you to make that happen, from the start of the game you chose Archer Class which has its set strenghts and weaknesses such as every other class, Archer has the best damage but worst defence and one of the liabilities to Archers weak defence is suffering more to Elemental damage than the other classes as your armour pieces pourpousely have less ressistances than everyone else in exchange for your damage, or another example is Swordsmans having the highest HP amount which then counters Mages low HP amount as they outlast a mage.

    Even at most, in order to have a chance at reducing ressistance with the multiple options of gaining ress, a user must have reduce all, reduce fire/water/light/dark and possibly a Shadow stone to keep up with the current meta of things like Fairy Affinity, perfections, SP base ress, act 6 ress etc.

    Now from what I said earlier about having enough ressistance to counter elemental damagers, the ressistance needed may not be the most common, but it is still in existance, and it's up to you to work for it as they will always be available options for those who strive to counter Elemental Damage, just as I have to work to make my character as defensive as possible to archers pure Attack damage.

    In a 1v1 PvP Elemental Damage becomes risky to build your character on as an opponent with these ressistances will negate you, this is also a counter in the form of ressistance.

    But in the same way you have to think of all situations where there can be counters and there cant be, Elemental Damage may be useless vs a foe with full Act 6 ressistances, but in different situations such as Arena or Rainbow Battle your opponents will be forced to use multi-ress in order to have an even balance against multiple opponents, this is where you would think of your options to maniplate that fact and use it to your advantage by going in with a ress reduce set to gain that advantage.

    But when it comes to counters there is always a way to counter you opponent, it can even come down to your shell stat having s% increase ress + 10% fire/water ress on the shell, it does seem extreme to search out these specific stats but they exist and are all possibilities and even using ressistance increase equipment and costumes which exist for all elements such as Viking Helmet 10% water, Football Cap 10% Fire, Desert Turban 10% light, I'm not sure if there's one for Shadow ress but there probably will be in the future.

    So instead of looking at how much is possible by the enemy, you should be looking for a way to counter what is possible, even if I have to buy multiple armours and weapons for multiple situations, I'll do it so that I'll have a chance to overcome whatever my opponent may be using.

Making a channel the EVENT channel where all event items can drop has actually increased a lot of traffic towards that specific channel meaning that there's less people trying to get into Channel 1, but unfortunately each channel size has been reduced to a maximum of 300 from 500 to counter some server lag related issues, but nonetheless the player base is quite large leaving Channel 1 to be full regardlessly of if there was event raids or not, and the reason behind that is because players definitely know that the majority of others will be there to participate in raids, Market Place selling and other things that may require a lot of social activity, so disabling Event Raids on Channel 1 alone will most likely not be a reason for more spaces to be available.

    Instead it'd be a better idea to think of creating traffic to the other Channels such as how Rainbow Battle drives players to Channel 10 every 2 hours, I would say Minigames too on Channel 8 but at the moment there's nothing too alluring in order for masses of users to participate.

  23. It's safe to assume that it's just a bug during the Christmas Event patch and will probably be fixed once Bash has been notified of the current situation. It's also quite common for their to be some problems here and there from updates so there's no need to worry and I'm sure a GS has let him know.
