That was around the time there a good number of Diamond Altars where released within a short period of time which as you've noticed in the past has killed the EP price and the same thing happens on Awaken to a degree since the fail prize of Diamond there is also EP. The main reason people have told me they want more EP was due to some towns going down which is why I've made efforts to try and help the lower towns get back up to fix the problem.

I get where you come from all this but the thing you've gotta remember with these special altars is they take 3x as long just to make them (That's not including all the rate testing that needs to happen before hand). I guess I could make a template for it at some point in the future which could work but just from efforts made in the past sometimes its just like why bother because it mostly goes un-appreciated and sometimes even have the prime or nothing players tend to be like gg trash altar. Although Herakles has suggested to do this a couple of times along with Dye altars I've never really had much other support for it. So maybe we can look into it in future.

As for pet primes I agree on the pet altars to a part and how you suggested pet books and such and before my dev server went down as you noticed I've actually done this before for the most part. However, we try to put 1 set of prime pets a week as they are just as important to players as prime costumes in terms of the gameplay experiance (prays/battle skills). So I do not agree that everytime a pet is on altar there should also be the bibles, unbinds etc. But as a special once or twice a month thing then yes maybe one could argue a pet themed altar with pet related items is a good idea.

Generally speaking though a lot of this comes down to preferance and how some people prefer to get what they're expecting and just looking for whats new and some prefer to be suprised or panic roll as this week has a random "fortification" altar.

I'll talk with herakles though as he is the one whos been suggesting to do altars of this nature in the past and I've just kinda pushed the idea asside based on previous experiance..

Only replying to the specific part I was addressed in.

The price for EP has stayed stable the entire life of the server. They have floated around 500~700g. The only exception to this is as of recently, purely because there is not as much gold in the server and when the server initially started, but even then they were around 400g each. I don't think having diamond altars kills the price, if anything that is the only place they really come from. People rather buy EC with their AP because they sell for more than 129 coins do. I'm sure it's happened on awaken server, I'll take your word for it but that does not mean it will happen on the classic server, all it just shows that it is capable of happening.

Reset scrolls belong in the normal place they did before the changes of S2 as mentioned. As I've mentioned to people who have brought it up to me who I'm sure have passed on the message this was my mistake as nobody told me about it till after maintenance had happened already that the S2 slot wasn't rotating. So I'm not sure why nobody mentioned it to you since I've had a couple people asking from your friend group about it that the S2 slot is suppose to rotate between the items.

This just isn't true at all. The altar has been almost on a constant rotation since before christmas where the S1/S2 type items and all the B's R's and stuff have also been on a almost constant rotation (especially cause I didn't have my dev server for almost 2 months so I wasn't even able to test any altar changes therefore keeping it as close as possible to the same 3 designs each week. So yeh maybe 6 months ago when altars where in much more variation this could have happened but not in 2021 (Unless you coun't the last 2 weeks which again as mention was more of a bug than anything else).

As for this. Clearly he just misread the post as he has no say on any of these items and only picks out the alpha's / prime's of an altar. I have also told your friends exactly this so again not really sure why you've not been told this as they specifically mentioned this "discussion" you had with him.

    1. What's the point when 65 would just take 70's place and 55 would just take 60's place? There isn't enough room on altar to have every stardust so you'd just complain when a 65 is in the 70 place because "Why am I getting lower this altar" when 70 on a functional basis works as a 65.

    2. EP is suppose to be a harder currency to get and isn't suppose to be coming in the boat loads (Diamond altar is a special occasion so I allow it). I've added more PvE ways to get EP but I'm not about to be adding more to the top row. Plain and simple.

    3. They're suppose to be on altar once a week (Sometimes they might skip a week if I do something extra like a Pet themed altar where theres fruits or skill books). But 9/10 weeks its suppose to be chisel and fort reset one altar every week.

    4. I put the altars together and asside from a couple Alpha's repeating or being a different colour of the same alpha I don't really notice it as much as you keep stating it happening. And if there is a couple altars a year of the same primes ever thought they could have been re-suggestions by newer people or people who missed it the last time its on altar. Theres only a finite amount of primes in the game and then theres only a finite amount of good primes that people actually like aswell.

As mentioned above Resets and Chisels where a bug and where on me not Herakles. As for the items... He gets most his item suggestions from players in game or here on forums so if you have a problem with those item's then I can't really see how it's his fault.

    ---

So TL;DR it was a bug and will be corrected this maintenance. As for items themselves, try submit them on the forum post and they will be done in due time. If you have a more urgent suggestion contact him directly and he may or may not bump the suggestion up. After a post like this though that comes across as a hit piece. I highly doubt he would want to bump suggestions up just saying.

I'm specifically replying to your second point about EP.

I think the main reason players ask for more EP through altar is because of the value discrepancy for the items in that specific slot (S1). For example, before the economy died/server went inactive Tritium Scrolls were valued at 3-4k, Deuterium Scrolls were valued at 1.5-2k and you got two while Eternal Coins are valued anywhere from 400-700g and you only got one. Corona Heartflames were the only item that were close in value to these, but even then they were valued at approximately x2.5 or 3x of an eternal coin. There is no sense of putting those items there because of this huge discrepancy.

  3. Hello,

Over the server's life we have seen guilds come and go. For an EE server to have a healthy life, there is a necessity for PvE and PvP. Currently, Classic's PvE health seems to be at an OK place, it could be better. For PvP, the health has been non-existent since fall of last year.

I'm writing this thread with the intention of bringing the currently playing players back into PvP, to bring old players back to the game and potentially bringing new players from the recently closed down Aeria servers. While I have not been playing the game much for the last few months, I do occasionally log on and see what's going on. PvP is being more or less used as a way to farm gold or ECs, whether it be through ranking, GvG bags, salary, etc. There isn't any issue with this, it just shows that there has been no actual PvP for a long time.

    Guild vs. Guild Changes
I will preface the changes for GvG system with a message from Jordan: If people are in agreement over a new system, changes will occur. Changes however will be left to be determined either through collective feedback and decision or by the development team as seen fit; there will not be any issues in regards to development because some of the changes are already in place through other systems from the Awaken server.

Currently, GvG is a 50 versus 50 PvP with five crystals to cap and monsters that spawn every minute after death, and through other means like gathering crystals. Before GvG completely died in regards to activity, it was more or less a cap war between 10-20 players on each side. There was very minimal PvP, and it had a huge emphasis on crystal capping. From what I have seen in videos, and what I have been told by current players, the Awaken server falls victim to this same issue. My proposed change would be an overhaul to the entire system, that way the new system would take the emphasis away from capping crystals and avoiding each other and put it back on actually fighting, which is why it was developed in the first place.

    Player Count
Instead of a 50 versus 50, the maximum capacity would be reduced to 30 for each side. This change in capacity would prevent guilds from becoming a huge conglomeration of other smaller guilds, if it could even occur again. I've heard in the past from players that they prefer smaller numbers, because it forces people to learn to play with what they have and teach themselves to be better with their group of friends or clique. This change would encourage this behavior.

    Crystals
Crystals would be reduced from 5 to 3. Passive point gain from crystals would also be reduced when leading with crystals. Crystal's levels would also be increased to the current level cap. The majority of points currently in GvG are distributed from the passive point gain from retaining an advantage in crystals. The points should be awarded through killing each other, while also rewarding players from having an advantage through crystals. Having less crystals to worry about also increases the need for strategy, because you won't be able to just brute force crystals to win. The increased level of crystals is to reduce the incoming damage from players and monsters.

Mob Spawning, Suicide Bombing, Attraction Bombing System
This would more or less be the same as before. I think adjustments would be necessary, but it would have to be played out through the first few GvGs to see how it works. Possible adjustments would be increasing mob spawns, mob damage to players (not crystals), and other additional adjustments.

    Timing
GvG's time should also be changed. Currently, the majority of the player base is from Europe. Shifting the times of GvG is a must. Even if the original player base were to return, shifting the times 2 hours back for each of them would still fall in line with proper times. I'm sure most players if not all would be okay with this change.

    Map
From what I've been told, the map that is ideal for meeting these requirements has already been used in the Awaken Server for normal class territory war. I'm unsure of this and how the map actually looks/operated because I didn't play the awaken server. But here is a picture of the general idea of where crystals would be, spawn locations, etc. I've marked it up a bit with a general idea of where I think things should go, this would be ultimately left up to Jordan for balance purposes with feedback from the community. 13woLAQ.png

Please give your legitimate feedback about these proposed changes. I'm sure only legitimate concerns will be addressed, people posting just to make annoyances will just be ignored.

  4. So I've noticed since the changes to class swapping during active rounds of 3v3 and 10v10, it has prevented people from switching to classes at the end of the match to get the medals they are trying to farm. Because of this change paired with the inactivity period of the server, people are not queueing arena as much (aside from people farming 10v10 with mules).

A simple solution to this would be to change the rewards of the arena that we receive through the mail. Instead of getting 3 medals of the class we're currently on from a 10v10 victory, change it to 3 of an item that can be placed into arcane box and redeemed for a medal that we can select. By doing this, it would remove the fuss of "not being able to change class" because it would not matter anymore.

Hopefully a small change like this could be implemented, it would promote doing arena to farm arena medals again (most people are just doing 0/10s now and abusing rankings for blueprints).

  5. I think a sooner release would be better for the game's longevity but there should be content that connects the two caps to each other or changes to help alleviate the issues free to play players will have with new content/gear.

The biggest issue I can see with releasing new content is for the free to play players is the need for new gear. While most of the level 70 gear isn't necessary (mainly looking at armor sets, most weapons (with the exception to gun and a few others)), people will feel the need to upgrade to them.

A lot of focus lately has been on draining gold from the server and making stones more accessible and/or cheaper. All of these things have been accomplished but we will see how effective it really is after the wipe when the influx of stones from the diamond altars and people spending money vanish. There needs to be some sort of daily or weekly quest that encourages players to do PvE content that we currently have. You could implement this PvE encouragement sooner rather than later or with the introduction of the new cap.

There needs to be something, like a daily or weekly quest, that free players can utilize to close the gap between the players who can afford to spend money to accomplish their goals. These dailies or weeklies can reward players via AP items like EC, 129 coins (I'd lean more toward EC, since they are the primary driver of the economy and to make them non-tradable). You could create these quests with the dungeons or trials in mind, maybe both; the normal dungeon one being less rewarding than the trial quest. You could also make the dungeons and trials increased in difficulty by adding either more health, more damage from the bosses, making a timed version of the dungeon so you have X amount of minutes to complete it.

Without something like this, I don't see a reason to update to 70 cap because it'll just be an endless cycle of what we've seen in the last two caps. People will do the content, get their drops, complain they cannot afford to fort it until something happens, people fort too easily because of the new changes then PvE content is boring again and the game dwindles in activity. While this game is a business and I do understand that, the community will not survive without the free to play playerbase being happy. As a customer myself, I have no incentive to spend any money on the game if there is not even players to play it with me.

Just as an update to this thread as I didn't get a chance to update/create a new thread.

I have came up with an initial list of changes to be made.I am aiming for the end of the month but I cannot say for 100% it will be ready by then.

The initial change list will be as follows and if anyone wants to give any input on these changes then you're welcome to but most of these changes came from this thread in some form or another or other threads.

    • 3v3 Changes
      • Small HP Adjustments.
      • Disable Class Change during the match (Still will be enabled before and between rounds).
      • Will investigate friendly pets being targeted using tab (This is something that will come after everything else).
    • 3v3 Things to Watch
      • Impact of Healing Classes (Specifically with the minor HP Adjustments).
      • Impact of Immunity Potions.
    • 10v10 Changes
      • Small HP Adjustments.
      • Disable Class Change during the match (Still will be enabed before and between rounds).
      • Reduce the round timer to 5 mins.
      • Implement a Wave Based Spawn System that every 15/20 seconds will respawn all players who are currently dead at the same spawn point on the map.
      • Update the Ormormu buffs to be none removable by Buff Removal skills (e.g. Purifying Wind).
      • Will investigate friendly pets being targeted using tab (This is something that will come after everything else).

Now I would like to state that these changes will be implemented as an initial step. Once the changes are implemented we will then see how they sit and then create any other changes to improve the quality of these specific PvP modes.

For the 10v10 reviving, can you make it so buffs do not remove invincibility when you've respawned? I think this is an issue now since we'll use non-combat spells upon respawn and die/start dying.

I mean i can see why you think increasing the price makes sense(it absolutely doesn't in my eyes since this is in no way a constant form to take gold out of the game but ok.). But making the Katana BP cost 80 instead of 10 Warstones is absolutely disgusting. You don't need to take Warstones out of the game in fear of people usinng them for ECs too much. Those people that have finished Cape Achievements have more than enough to just get ECs anyways.

The 10 war stone requirement was a nerfed version of the quest in the first place. All of the level 65 awaken quests were made easier after the release of the level 75 quests. I think the war stone increase was too much but it's unfair to compare it to a nerfed version of the quest in the first place.

EC's are expensive but the reason or this overpricing is the amount of money in the game. Thats why Jordan is taking out the money, so slowly the prices will sink over time.

The price increase for EC are attributed to two reasons: inflation from the amount of gold in the server (which this change of book cost is helping alleviate) and the fact that there are less AP spenders buying EC. Less supply and more demand = higher prices.

  9. 10v10 Changes

    • Increase HP while lowering the effectiveness of healing. At the moment, if there are two competent healers on the same team it is nearly impossible to kill them short of a miracle. More HP would prevent being instantly killed by some players in 10v10, but not fully eliminating the possibility of dying within a CC.
    • The map needs to be changed - an easy map would be Dreadlore Laboratory or something similar. I don't think many players will remember this, but in the first iteration of Territory War there were spawn points for the guild defending the territory. If you were to pass a certain point (which was identified by some object) you would be instantly killed preventing you to go into their spawn. If a kill plane can be introduced to the team's spawn points to prevent the enemy team from entering the spawn/spawn camping this would be an easy way to fix the regrouping issue.
    • Life System needs to be introduced, I would say individual lives would be better but if a team has players that disconnect or alpaca during the fight they are automatically at a disadvantage. I'd suggest that each team is allotted 50 total lives to play with and introduce a set respawn timer, maybe every 30 or 45 seconds.
    • Match time should be reduced to either 4 minutes or 5 minutes. This time would be dependent on other changes (life system, hp, etc). If a life system is introduced, the team with the most remaining lives should be awarded the victory for the round. This could easily be abused as people could theoretically sit in spawn and not PvP, but that should easily be record-able and punishable.

you mean like something that prevents you from getting buffs before the match starts?

He means that players will switch to bard -> play anti sleep song and switch back. Some buffs don't remove after changing classes (idr if that is one) but the other two characters have anti-sleep for the main part of the match

Man, i've got two days a week to MAYBE be able to do any TW or arenas. Only time I can do gvg is on the second match of saturday/sunday, and only if I get off work early AND if the guild im in makes it past the first or third matches, which rarely happens. If warstones were on the altar, or even gem altar, it wouldnt be an issue at all, because then i could go hard with gearaing classes instead of being softlocked into 2.

If you want a way to throw real life money at the game to get war stones then buy AP -> sell EC/129 Coins -> Buy Glory Gift Bags.
    Problem solved in that regard.

On another note, I do think that there should be a PvE way to obtain warstones. Maybe introduce a daily or every other day quest (maybe kill 0/10 dungeon bosses from a few dungeons [could be randomized]). Warstones are hard to get and cape achievements do take forever. I do understand that it shouldn't be an easy grind, but even from playing almost every day since the beginning of the server and doing tw/gvg/arena the cape achievements aren't even close to being done.

If you forted two whole sets to +10 with 200$ it wasnt bad lucky, in fact it was almost the best case possible if you do the maths of 200$ been around 200-210k and saying that you used 10 corals or ultramarines per piece wich would be the ''odds'' it would be around 175 just with corals and ultramarines, if you also count viridians you were really far from been with bad lucky there and im pretty sure most of the server wouldnt be able to +10 two sets with only 200$ .

I didn't buy any stones though? I just played the EC and won on average what everyone else is. (If you're playing a ton of ECs, you do notice an average). There is a reason why players are buying hundreds and thousands of ECs at a time (RainbowDash, Archie, Monettcita), you make more money playing EC on average than if you were to sell them. I think with two of the three altars this past week (the first one and the one from sunday night -> last night) you would make an average of 2~5k per 100 EC you rolled if buying them for 100g each. If you're buying AP and selling EC you're not maximizing your profits - you make more money playing the altar. And I wouldn't say I had good luck, just average luck with fortifying. Some pieces took a few stones to upgrade to the next level and one of them took 40 corals to go from +8 to 9. Law of averages always works itself out if you do enough of something.

Two weekends ago I forted two Giantslayer sets to +10 and a level 65 Club because I was going to play warrior, I used in total 140 Coral LSS, 100 Premium SS (from +3 -> +7) and 80 Ultra LSS. At market value of the time (ULSS 700g, CLSS 800g, SS 300g) that equals out to about 198k.

As I said previously, I think people just don't know how to maximize their gains with what they have and utilize resources. People spam ULSS for +6-7 when it's more efficient to use premium SS to go to +7. Also the sets I forted for my friends this weekend used 0 of the colored stones, purely only premium lucky/SS. I'm unsure why people don't utilize luckies as much, but they don't.

The real killer of the sets and making them good is fort resets (all of the costs above are without resetting them, that's what eats up a majority of the gold IMO not necessarily the fortifying itself).

  14. 6 minutes ago, naru said:

@Matt i think she/he was talking about more then one set + wep you big brain. I already needed 100$ for my lv 60 staff when ecs were at 85g ea and viridians at 400,ultramarine around 500 and corals around 600-700g ea. We are talking about the current situation if you want to play more than 1 class you have to pay way more than 500$.

I literally just forted two sets to +10 this weekend for friends, it does not cost the amount of money that you guys claim even with bad luck (spent about $200ish). I have suspicion that you guys just misuse your money/items you buy with AP and that's why its so expensive for you to complete things.

I've the same answer for the two of you. Stop assuming that I find having one geared class for an entire content cap acceptable. That was never my assumption when I joined. Stop assuming I find any enjoyment in walking around on a +6 set. Stop assuming that this game was designed around playing one class like it's tera or something. The fun is in experimentation, builds, theory crafting, unconventional setups, etc. Maybe you find being semi-viable in pvp fun, I don't. The experience I wanted, if I were to just pay in cash right now, would be nearly $2000 USD to get + all the required grind.

I'm gonna go and take my lofty expectations elsewhere, like the countless games that respect my time and money.

Also, it doesn't cost $2,000 to +10 full armor sets, maybe $500 tbh (know from personal experience).

bye dont let the door hit you on the way out. The entitlement some people have.. "MAKE IT MY WAY OR I WONT SPEND MY $50"

I think people are just starting to do the math bash. I'm sorry, but for all intents and purposes, when you're thinking "how much time/money do I have to drop to finish one class for this one current meta," +6 is still a drop in the bucket.

Sure, it is the baseline, the bare minimum, but any pvp-minded person Isn't going to want to settle for that. The'll look at what it takes to +10 their class and they'll be like "That's $200, what a ripoff." Nevermind free players, those will never have a +10 set in their lives.

I'd rather be bored after a month than be exploited. Which is why I quit on the spot when Jordan pretty much confirmed he wouldn't budge on the issue. I've zero, absolutely no interest in playing the game with the knowledge that getting every class to +10 and maxed out by the end of the meta isn't achievable. This is the second hard requirement I had besides +6 being reasonable to obtain, which seemed to fly over everyone's head lol.

And this whole narrative about +10 not being necessary. I said it before trials came out. That two weeks later all the pvp whales would have +10 sets in gvg and hey, looks like I was right all along. What's the longevity here? Playing catch up for months on end or drop my life savings on this game? Jordan saying +10 armors are a minor bump is the most insulting thing I've read in a long while.

I would have easily dropped $30-50 a month on this game if the economy was fair and balanced, but you guys seem to be happy with the couple dozen whales banking your operations. So good job I guess.

"I think people are just starting to do the math bash. I'm sorry, but for all intents and purposes, when you're thinking "how much time/money do I have to drop to finish one class for this one current meta," +6 is still a drop in the bucket."
The meta will be the same for months, as seen in the patch road map given before the level cap was even increased. +6 sets are the minimum requirement to be useful. I'm not sure why people think +10 is absolutely necessary, it never was and it never will be. The top killer in my guild (911) uses a +10 level 60 staff with a +6 level 60 set, showing that it is still not even necessary to use updated gear.

"The'll look at what it takes to +10 their class and they'll be like "That's $200, what a ripoff." Nevermind free players, those will never have a +10 set in their lives."
In MMOs, there are three different types of players: Free 2 Play with nothing but time (which I know there are a lot of on this server/game, I can see it myself), People who can afford to spend money + play the game and those that have no time but can afford to whale out. I'm not sure how sympathetic I can be for free 2 play players that have tons of time who choose to AFK in Aven rather than farm their dungeons or in over-world maps to get gold to upgrade their gear. I have free2play players in my guild who haven't spent a dime and still are able to achieve +8 sets and a +10 weapon, what is their excuse? I didn't know AFKing in Aven provided gold, why must everything be handed to people in this game/server? And before people say "I don't have that much time" I see the same people doing this and then whining on the forums, you guys definitely do have the time.

"Playing catch up for months on end or drop my life savings on this game? Jordan saying +10 armors are a minor bump is the most insulting thing I've read in a long while."
You're not playing catch up with anyone.. as said earlier +10 is not a necessity, it only helps lower base stats so you maybe have a tiny bit of an edge in PvP (which isn't even noticeable if you really look at the math).  The armors really are a minor bump, for every DPS class the minimum requirement for your set is LCK forts on every piece. That is more than enough to get you through PvP/trials. If you have to "spend your life savings" then this game / x-Legends developed games are not for you. These games have always been pay heavy/pay2win or "pay2convenience."

Side note, if you've quit the game, why are you still complaining on the forums if there is evidently not going to be any change?

Not possible at all bro, price increasing alot, when you guys made viridian changes i get hyped to play but corals goes from 600 to 1k now and ppl put some on AH for 1,3k.
Literaly i don't care about this cause we still have 1 month for new weapons so this will give time to farm gold for 300-400 stones , but by the fact, ppl will never get satisfied cause they always want to be ULTIMATE FULLY UNSTOPPABLE geared for beating pvp. (300-400 stones isn't 100% chance of full +10 but we can't do too much)
That's why they complain about Ultra, coral and will be the same about Citrine,Amethys,Rose, Power Scrolls, Guard Scrolls and Future reset scrolls if they come.
My tip to all players, chill down, wait few months, ppl will quit and will have more items than server needs, that's happening since i saw Charms Lv2 for 100g and Auric for 200g.
Still the most poppulated server so amount of items in the server don't sustain.
@Bash and @Jordan Good deal with viridian and i apologize about this but you guys gotta get blamed since they wont get everything they want, i don't agree with server rates too but we can't do anything instead of farm 18h/day.

People will see this price as exemple, same as you bought Boxes for 1,5k and Mehzu too, now no one wants to sell lower than 1k. (Not blaming you, if you want can pay 20k on each and will be the same)

Me buying boxes at 1.5k ea was under the market price.. The boxes were being sold for 2k+ before I even started buying them so I'm unsure how that example is even valid.

Sorry nevermind, I woke up this morning and I guess the price went from 800g to 950g each in a night. Interesting.
Put rules, you can't? Why not? They're making the server die. If you put rules they would quit? Comon no one would quit, you didn't open the server only because you wanted to, you did because they asked for it. They are just trolling the server right now. I've nothing else to say. I've seen too many people quit already in a level content that is my and everyone else dream content cause everything is just too hard.

That guy has been S>those for that price for a few days now.. just because someone lists a price like that doesn't mean that is what its worth.

  19. To add:

If there is no definitive answer, can we have a community vote on it? I don't think it's really a useful system with awaken weapons at a set date already. Would also create less work for the development team (since you'd have to figure out how to balance the awaken weapons because of the added attack on the bases)

  20. Think it could be a good idea if people's logs are actually looked at (if people are accused of dodging) but I can see how it'll easily be abused.
