Yeh but theres not really a way for a solo player to thrive in PvP when this is what they're up against. And like again the capping thing you suggested is just guna suck for the group players because it will just turn PvP into a solo cap thing which on PvP threads in the past people have been asking me to try and make it the opposite of this as this happens especially in GvG format. You call it successful but it wasn't. Ive done many different kinds of content releases and the problem with the "successful formula" is that they're one and done. If they take too long then new players give up if they dont take long enough veteran players run out of content fast and walk away till next patch. With the new methods of gear farming yes its met with complaints but I've been refining it patch after patch. A lot of the negative feedback towards HoO was used to make Abyss more player friendly. The new system works because it follows the same philosophy as DS and GoP have in the past. Where you're rewarded for putting time in, even when you finish all your gear. You can help new players get gear faster and/or make a profit selling to other players. It helps stimulate the game economy moving money around for reasons other than costumes and helps those players who don't donate be able to make money without going out of their way to sell runs or constantly spam 0/10's. Yes this does open the door to just completely pay for convenience which fits you first point but to be quite honest, in the era that mobile games has built for us, people who completely just pay their way through a game wouldn't be playing the game if they couldn't do that. So if they just max out and leave, then likely chance is they would have left anyway as they tend to be people who just like the dopamine rush of maxing something. Where as new players who maybe migrated from a much more expensive server like Aeria would use the money to catch up and then join PvP at max gear (Which I know a number of players did that). This system atleast from the way I have saw from watching the game chat and talking to players has been a success for the most part. Yes I know there are parts people don't like such as the RNG of HoO (one feedback we put towards Abyss was removing large bits of RNG). But in terms of the old system, I would spend say 2 months making a patch, making trials and then within 1 month people are already asking for the next patch. This hasn't been the case with HoO or Abyss for that matter so I would consider that a successful formula. Obviously not everyone will agree with me, but server numbers and in game activity show me that this is the case. Drivers was a suggestion made to me to remove RNG from the Min Maxing. For weapons it's a bit more understandable that it can be a pain but with armor, it's not really necessary to actually bother its just completely for numeric satisfaction in most circumstances. I wont take credit for the Portal Stones as that was something that was in FNO so its nothing special. The other 2 though where semi difficult to do (Which is suprising since a lot of things are easy to do in this game, but putting waypoints on a map is not one of them lol). I have been doing this over the years. Hence the scaling TK gear, the free VL, DD and BTS trophies, the VGN Accessories, free gems, quest added at stop gaps of EXP when solely leveling from quests and ofcourse making trials easier. But theres only so much I can do because theres a player mentality of just "If its not the most current gear, then i'm not wasting my time on it". But then how are veteran players going to have a fun experience. Like last thing I changed was making Awaken level 110 Armor and level 100 Weapons a bit easier and I previously did the 95 Awakens too. But I can't really just start handing them out for free can I? Like everytime people bring specific areas of the game to me as concerning factors for new players I look into it and adjust where I can without just completely gutting it. But like even you didn't really give me something to change, you just said outdated content. Like pretty much everything below Dragon Trials is outdated aside from the odd item here and there. But without specifics I can't really change anything. As much as I used to be full intune with everything going on in game I've gotten busier and wanted less drama. So a lot of what I know comes from direct communication between people and myself or observing the game as someone not in a guild via chat, screenshots of guild chat etc. So I wont know exactly what is wrong unless someone specifically tells me.

I mean welcome to the real world. This is supply and demand at its finest. So what are we suppose to do? The set scales with level, its free to fortify so you can get into a semi-decent position within the game, yes its not perfect but I mean asside from just giving you the best set from level what more could you expect? We give you trophies that are good for players who are yet to complete achievements, accessories that are good for players to help them tackle new content and theres access to free gems that again are good enough for beginners. Like asside from giving you the best possible gear from day 1 I don't know what more we can do for you. You're forgetting the fact that the game is around 12 years old and the content will reflect that. You're also catching up to players who have been playing this server anywhere from a year to 6 years. Instead of going full bold why don't you offer some suggestions based on your own experience. The game content has nothing to do with the playercount to be honest with you. I mean you can spew a bunch of nonsense about how the numbers wouldn't be like they are if we focused more on new players but yet when the server opened and everyone started at level 1 and even when the classic server opened where everyone started level 1 with less content available to catch up on. Yet the numbers where still not massive. So I'll leave it like this. If you think that the only thing thats holding this game back from being a massive game and having lots more players is the new player experience. Then sure, give me some suggestions push ideas towards me that you think would encourage new players to join the game. Rather than come here and moan about how we're not doing enough why don't you actually give us constructive ideas on what you feel went wrong or is going wrong and what could help improve this. As for this: New players should not be doing TW competitively and to suggest that it should be is absurd. It's a Territory War and the game has no stat balance mechanics. It's guild based PvP, it would be an insult if someone who started the game a week ago came in and shit on the top guilds after they've spent years perfecting their gear. As for the other comment "group nerfed". It's a group PvP event why should people be able to solo. The only thing someone who is solo should be able to do in TW is have a bit of fun hunting people down who are maybe away from the party or trying to ninja cap. They should not be able to fight with a geared group and win, that would be absurd. If it was 3v3 or something then sure, random team mates and incomplete parties but a guild based pvp event, thats madness. I also touch on the fact that you mention something like Conjurer being able to kill you without a party. Well how are we suppose to balance a game that has group PvP being its main selling point as a game and have it balanced so you can play solo PvP too. Not to mention theres 61 possible classes to play all that have their own debuffs and stuff too. Yes I would love to provide this but as I've mentioned countless times the game is old, it doesn't have systems to improve this and making systems like this are just not worth the weeks of time to make and test and refine. The only way I personally would say to fix this would be having different skills for PvE, PvP and Arena PvP. So atleast that way the skills would be balanced around those areas of the game. But this is all out of the games scope. However, this is completely off topic. As for Events. Again this is down to how the game is designed and isn't really something in the scope of something we would fix. I could maybe increase the threshold a bit but you still should be participating to a degree to be rewarded. Otherwise everyone and their mother will just stack alts and abuse rewards that may be abusable. This isn't something we can fix. It would require some forced dungeon finder method to atleast remedy the situation which quite frankly the game and most games aren't big enough for this thats why other games that have systems like this tend to be massive games with cross server play (would still have plenty of trolls). The game used to be rife with people hosting peer parties and the population count isn't different to back then either. So this is more of an internal player mindset issue where as you mentioned if you invite peer people you get trolls and ninja's and all sorts of bad experience. So players are now just sticking to either premade parties or guild only which isn't anything I can do about that. This being why I always recommend new players find a helpful guild when they join. It doesn't need to be the top guild, I see a few guilds every week when I do checks that are small but have lots of players and those guilds don't even appear to PvP. I feel like a lot of your issues from this response come from the bigger guilds dominating a lot of things and not helping the smaller guilds. But tbh this is more of an issue of players who play this game lately only care about winning. There is a difference between being a big group that win and being a small group who can be effective. I've played this game for a long time, in meta's that where worse than now. Meta's where you needed people throwing up barriers to make a party invincible otherwise people just get 1 hit healer or no healer, Meta's where people would reflect more damage than you dealt to them and Meta's where if anyone dealt less than 10% of someones HP they'd heal more than they damage. And yet not once has a stronger party of 5-10 players not been able to atleast be a factor in PvP. It's just if you have to have a chance to win the whole thing to enjoy yourself then thats not really something I can fix other than suggest you join the bigger groups. --- Overall to the pair of you. The game is very old now and the only one maintaining it is me. The original devs gave up on this game 5 or so years ago and I'm the only one who hasn't. I have a life with lots of other things to do so I can only do so much in the time I have. I honestly haven't had much time the past few months and I actually feel bad that the content I've been working on with others has been stopping and starting a lot and is still far from done. But I'm always thinking of ways to improve the new player experience but I'm only one person.

I've saw how this goes and how quickly this feature goes from game changing to irrelevant quickly just down to it not being able to one shot people anymore, especially when it comes to not one shotting healers. I also don't really think there is a proper way to balance this feature that would make it not game changing as thats kinda the point. It's suppose to be a way back into the game for the losing side and can equally be used to hammer home the victory for the winning team. Although this suggestion is interesting so if I was to make any changes this might be one way to make it a little more 'fair' As for the bug, I was only recently informed about it and have yet had the chance to fix the bug. So that will be going but as I said to the person reporting it. Asside from maybe support classes this bug doesn't really benefit you as you're losing your abillity to one shot and pull people in which is infinitely better than any dps class skills.

Although a Page Number is probably fine I have a lot of things to do for this server. I have been working on a big patch for a while now but because of time and IRL jobs its been set back after set back with still no end date in sight. So little things like this that would take a lot of work are just out of the question right now. I've done my best to organise the materials (as before they where not) but as of the moment thats the best we can offer.

I kinda got lost/bored reading the back and fourth because within all the waffle it basically boils down to: EU: "I don't want to stay up 1 hour later". US: "My friends literally cannot attend unless they skip work". Which was my arguement original before it was brough back 1 hour as mentioned above. I'm pretty sure I've said these exact words to whoever proposed the change to me before: From my personal experience as a player for many years on this game, a guild leader of a winning PvP guild that has won on many different servers. Work/School is the biggest obstacle for TW activity. It doesn't matter if TW is at 6pm or 4am if people actually want to attend they will. I've had people in my guild from every continent attending the same TW and GVG (excluding the obvious Antarctica) and I'm sure if Matt/Jake recalls back to their mainserver days they will be able to say something similar. So I don't really buy this excuse of "I'll have to go to bed an hour later if I play TW". I know people who would wake up 3-4am for TW every single day. However, as for the OP. I would rather hear from these so called players that are affected by this rather than a vague representation of them. So if they affected please ask them to show support on this thread. Such as like how Loonatik has done. As for one final note... 1. Consistency matters. People will forget or people will show up on days that benefit them as they know a guild with South Americans in might struggle to attend making the sides sway depending on the day. 2. We've tried this on Awaken when Awaken's numbers where at its peak and it just created a divide of TW's which best suited certain guilds leading to a dead PvP. 3. We shouldn't need to encourage PvP on Weekends as thats what GvG is for. We need to encourage weekday PvP so the game has a balance of daily PvP.

CPU Usage Rises Up While Playing Eden Eternal!
Jordan replied to Coy Block's topic in General Discussion
It sounds like you don't really understand much about computers. CPU usage isn't really an issue as it can depend on many different factors why you would have a high percentage of CPU usage. It's not very uncommon for a game to take up a lot of CPU time when actively playing or in an active area in the game and although Matt is right that the game is poorly optimized that doesn't really have too much of an effect on this. To truely analyze your problem (Which is only a problem if you're feeling the effects of it in game) I would have to know more information about your system. Such as what graphics card does it have, how much RAM do you have and your CPU model, speed and core count. Upgrading your Hard Drive to a SSD wont really help the specific problem too much but would lower it a bit in terms of IO operations. It would help however, if your RAM is so low so the game might be forced to use Virtual RAM which would require more CPU power. -
Just looked into it and Judgment Storm actually generates more malice than group provoke. It just doesn't reset the targets malice. However, as an example Judgment Storm would likely reset the malice each time the DoT ticks if we changed it which would mean anyone who hits hard will get target priority over the Knight.
-
You can't make all skills work like group provoke or the agro will just become mostly random as each time its used, it resets and applys some malice to the target. Plus its not even possible for every skill as skills have a limit to what they can do and how much they can do. Group provoke glyph doesn't actually improve the Malice of Group Provoke but rather gives the wearer +20% Malice buff (Just typical aeria typo's). If you wanna hold agro on all tank classes then put on some Malice buffs and aslong as you're not getting super outdamaged you'll be fine.

Great way to improve the server activity is to make the upcoming content done in day.

We do not plan to increase the Block List and Friend List at this time. We may look into this in future but at the moment we do not have plans for this.

Since this seems to be mostly related to your other post will lock this one. Try keep all information to one topic.

Looking at the error code specifically this [Desc]connect ErrCode[10035] This would appear to be related the socket the game is trying to use to connect to the server. So one guess I would make based on this post you made here: Is that maybe there is some form of conflict between the two applications. I would maybe try reinstalling discord or checking the settings as there could be a port issue or something as I know many players use discord for their guilds so I'd have to presume the conflict is due to the configuration of your discord maybe? I personally don't really use discord much but I have had the game and discord open at the same time without issue.

Connect your VPN through US as the server is located there not europe. Not sure why you cannot connect as the server is running fine with no issues. Could be related to your anti-virus but I doubt it is as it would stop program execution and not connection. Just because you can connect to other games doesn't mean you can connect to every game. The patcher error just happens for some people and not everyone depends on what node you connect to. I get this error around 50% of the time when opening the patcher yet I have no issues when in game. Sorry I cannot be of more help because I'm not really sure whats going on. The only thing I could suggest is try restarting your internet and make sure the VPN you are using is reliable and isn't just free garbage that you find online. The only other things I can recommend is the usual, Anti-Virus exceptions (entire folder is usually best).

They are like that on FNO too, only difference is AoJ is better to go with staff swapping since you have the % magic dot.
-
No plans. Half the people on our Awaken server if not more didn't play from day 1 and they caught up fine with way more content to catch up on.
-
There is currently no system in place to make items like this stack. I will consider it in future but I'm making no promises as of the moment.
-
You can just re-enter the location and continue with the quest.

Do some laptops not allow you to zoom in or out in EE
Jordan replied to CodeV5's topic in Help Section
This could be related to the Windows 10/8.1 bugs that happen. Try holding CTRL. Other than that I would try suggest getting a mouse and seeing if the mouse wheel works. I don't really trust touch pads myself. -
Do some laptops not allow you to zoom in or out in EE
Jordan replied to CodeV5's topic in Help Section
I cant remember exactly the cause but it can be fixed. Are you using a mouse or using the touch pad and also have you tried turning the scroll lock on/off. -
1. Might be best to check things before mentioning them. As mentioned above they didn't need updating. 2. Althought yes this would technically be a bug, without super overcomplications that can lead to other more serious bugs this is either a keep how it is or change entirely. 3. This issue applys to many classes and over time I have made improvements where necessary. However, with how X-Legend went silly with the later classes (Luminary/Inquisitor) KP I don't really see anything that could go in its place without giving the class pretty much every stat. 4. Anuran Warrior Classes. A lot of them have been updated, buffered, reworked where appropriate. There is very few useless certificates atleast, I think the most arguably useless ones would be DEF, MP Cost and STR/INT ones. But what would you rework them into that would dramtically change the game? Because anything that would be of use now would have to surpass CC certs and multi hit certs. So whats the point in changing them right? As for KP to add to what I mentioned above if/when I balance a class I consider all the KP with the changes. So if I need an extra slot then I have one to steal without having to add a new one. Theres no point to just sit here and go over every class and think of new ways that could throw off the balance of a class just because people aren't using that specific KP.

There isn't currently any intention to fix this issue. This issue is due to the fact that the method used to sort objects is done based on the ID of the item in the file system. So in-order-to fix this issue we'd have to override the sorting method with our own custom one. This would mean we'd have to create a new data file that indexes each item in what we would consider the correct order to sort through. This would require us to go over the currently 33,158 items in the game and sorting them based on the order we see as fit. And before you ask about why we can't just do Materials. Well we could but the issue with just doing Materials is it would be unoptimal for the code to have 2 different sorting algorithms at the same time and could increase the chances of issues arrising for slower connection players that currently happen every so often with the Auto-Sorting system. So yeh maybe in future once the Auto-Sorting system has been worked on we could look into this but I'm not going to give any false hope and say it's on my large TODO list because it's just not right now.
