  1. After consideration I've changed my stance to option 2.

    This community doesn't deserve a reset after all of the effort put in to be accomodating towards player's needs. For the past 3 years they have bounced server to server and gotten burned while continuing to talk poorly of especially VGN despite getting screwed over even harder everywhere else, most recently the game's original developers.

    Their need for there to be a reset to "catch up" when all resources to easily do so have been available and accessible since the end of 2021 shows their lack of initiative or actual understanding of the effort it would take to refurbish and relaunch a new Classic server. I'm not even going to get into the idea of compensation for players who were actually active during these times because its obvious to anyone that doing so would ruin these returning players' "fresh start."

    There is also the fact that who is to say that the players won't get upset over one little thing and leave again? I don't feel as though there is a source of trust, and as Awaken is successful already there remains no reason to bank on a community of people who always hop to the newest bugged out server beyond kindness and pity, neither which is deserved.

    TLDR; Just close it if you have to. People can play on XLegends if they want classic classes so badly. This server has been right here all along and wasn't ignored by staff, but ultimately the playerbase.

    There were high drop rate class drop EC, EP and CCM in trials since 2021 for easy farming. Its also incredibly easy to farm gold from Century daily especially at higher levels, and that doesn't even count the other dungeons you can do + the market for DD runs if people were playing.

    Classic server after its QoL changes was genuinely left off in an easily playable state and everything people could have possibly asked for was covered.

    While Bash's answer simply just reads like a typical Bash answer(WE'RE BETTER YOU'LL SEE!!1111!11!!) i do agree with @Kibo that looking at it AFTER the X-Legend-Launch may be a good idea, depending on how well that will go. 

    Also what @Loonatiksays is very true too. I looked at the server for a few days again too after most of the "saving" changes were done but damage done was just too high already. Understandable tho since you really mostly never heard people talking about this server in specific but about Jordan, Management and VGN overall. I'd say a re-opening after a while has passed would have a WAY bigger impact than doing it now. 

    Obviously you will have to put all the current systems into place AND make guild leveling basically free/insanely easy. You simply can't afford to have a 1000%-drama again in 2k23. People will just quit if they have to spend thousands of gold and tons of hours on either leveling their guilds or paying the loser-tax for not doing it themselves. 

    P.S. bring back %-TW, take the chance you didn't take the first time. You know it, we know it, everybody knows it :D 

    I'll use what you're saying here to elaborate on my comment. I agree with the tax statement btw - some server politics should be tackled beforehand now that there has been more experience seeing them in action.

    It could only work if it is after X-Legend releases their's and we can see the stark difference. Releasing at the same time or before it will not work because people will still be holding out.

    Whether people saw the changes made early last year or not, they are good and make for a great foundation on a Classic server, even if it is on a future one to come instead.

    Half of the people saying option 2 (I see a lot of Garden players) are just convinced this hindered their awakened updates when it didn't. Not to mention people who want to play a Classic server more often than not do not want to gear on Awakened and vice versa... The logic that not letting it exist will pull more players to you isn't accurate.

    TLDR - A relaunch can work but only in a particular timeframe and if proper changes are made to account for what was learned from running the past Classic server and the other attempted failures amongst it.

    There's one thing that Classic have and its the only thing that it needs to still classic.
    Having ONLY normal classes.
    Some awaken ideas like Celestial Corridor mechanics and items mechanics like Abyss armors could be on classic later.

    Isn't fair to both side players.

    In that time that i've been taking eyes to classic, i know one thing, people don't play because they want server with ''easy'' source of farming and gearing, like GM comands or way to farm 50k daily.
    Whatever Jordan does, people wont come to classic, that's a fact, his job there is insane better than any other and sadly it doesn't revive the server.

    Exclusivity doesn't imply something that would be needed or necessary on another server, so I don't think there is a need to worry that Awakened would be missing out on something vital with whatever Keidan is asking. At the end of the day Awak/Classic are essentially two different games and there can be different systems in place for each that the other does not need. Classic is missing a lot of things that Awakened doesn't have as it is right now anyway.

    Personal note -

    I think 80 cap content will be fun with original classes. It will be a different and new experience for PvE and more challenging than the current content that we have at 75, since it was initially made with awakened/mimic classes in mind.

    Its best to release 80 cap in the first place and then look into different changes/potential content later. I'm personally very excited to experience this content in a new way than before and I know that my friends are too.

    I talked to some of my friends and we're willing to play level 80 content. It's something to do and we've all been caught up with 75 cap for awhile now.

    At this point I personally find it much better to try moving forward, rather than staying stagnant.

  6. Hi! Here is a compilation of content and QoL updates throughout 2021-2022.

    This is here to keep players informed on changes that they may have missed out on hearing about, and learn more about the systems on this server. Feel free to share with friends.

    A lot has been changed or improved in the last year. Many of the things that players have been asking for have been addressed, making the server a lot more fulfilling and easier to play.

    Most updates will be cited with the related patch notes, which you can click for more information.

    I will try my best to get translations for this post in other languages.

    I. Trials, Gearing, and Stats
    -Can level to 75 via mainline/book quests - no more choke points (v37)
    -Vendetta starter equipment and weapons now available at lv30 and lv40 (v31)(v37)

    Together these give up to 60% EXP, 40% CP
    Provides elemental/physical resist and move speed
    Weapons scale to the value of a +10 weapon for your level (max is to the strength of a lv70 weapon)

    -Class drop is now in 65-75 trials (Class drop guide HERE) (v36) (v37)
    -Class drops for EC, eternal coins, and honor stars are in 70, 70S, and 75 trials - great for f2p (Class drop guide HERE) (v37)
    -Weapons and armor now drop at up to 120% (v36)
    -Auto Loot and Player Specific Drops (v37)
    -New Daily dungeon that gives guaranteed 50 EP, 55 Honor Stars, and 150 CCM + more (Sublimes, Legendary costumes/mounts, etc) (v37)

    -Awaken Armor key requirements - 7 Gold, 7 Silver (v33)
    -Reduced Crystal Cross Medal requirements for 65 Awakened weapons (v37)
    -Sky Tower drop rates buffed, along with custom Legendary costume/mount box. Definitely read patch notes for additional info (v35)
    -Elemental resistance cap raised to 70 (v35)
     


    II. Stones, Altars, and Path of Destiny
    -Crystal Altar layout is now static. (v25)

    There is a permanent rotation of Coral, Ultra, and Viridian halcyons which do not change.
    Fortified stat reset scrolls and chisel lv80s are guaranteed to be on altar every week, too.

    -Orange Capes warstone cost reduced
    -Level 3 Potions have 100% success rate
    -Updated the following crafts to give Guild EXP x4 and Building EXP x5 and will take 2 seconds to craft

    Marks of Wind
    Cast Time: 1.5 seconds
    No Cooldown Time
    Grants Party Members within 50 meters AGI & LCK for 15 minutes.

     

    Earth Energy
    Cast Time: 1.5 seconds
    No Cooldown Time
    Grants Party Members within 50 meters STR & INT for 15 minutes.

     

    Drops of Heaven
    Cast Time: 2 seconds
    No Cooldown Time
    Heals all party members within a 25 meter target area  and will recover HP every second for 5 seconds.

     

    Totem of Wrath
    Instant
    Cooldown: 5 seconds
    Summons a "Totem of Wrath" equal to the casters Skill Level for 30 seconds.
    Totem of Wrath reduces surrounding enemies Elemental Resistance -3 pts every second for 5 seconds, stacks 5 times.
    Cannot coexist with Totem of Grace.

     

    Totem of Grace
    Instant
    Cooldown: #24# seconds
    Summons a "Totem of Grace" equal to the casters Skill Level for 30 seconds.
    Totem of Grace recovers surrounding party members HP between 1% and 3% HP and removes 1 negative status every second.
    Cannot coexist with Totem of Wrath.

     

    Black Puma
    Instant
    Cooldown: 30 seconds
    Transforms into a Black Puma for 15 seconds granting Move SPD and EVA.
    Note: This effect is removed when attacking.

     

    Callback
    Cast Time: 5 seconds
    Cooldown: 45 seconds
    Revives Target. Character will be revived with HP and MP, EXP penalty will be reduced by 50%.

     

    Repressed Element
    Cast Time: 1 seconds
    Cooldown: 3 seconds
    Grants M-ATK and deals Nature DMG to the target and has a 50% chance to inflict Fear status for 3 seconds.

    It's not stupid. You don't go anyway as it is.  It isn't a matter of not wanting you to come; you are more than likely not going to regardless. I said it's fine because people have other responsibilities and obligations.. why would I be mad that people can't come because of that.. it's just a game. Your other guildmate just whined a couple posts before you that people expect you to have no responsibilities and stay up late for PvP - no one is doing this. Literally said it's fine.

    An hour difference is not going to make or break EU attendance. If you want to go to something, then you'll go.

    Many NA/SA/BR players can't participate because they are at work and it excludes them. There is a big difference between not wanting to stay up and not being able to go because you are at work. I could even argue that you are excluding them by insisting on a TW time that you guys don't even utilize yourselves and that they literally can't go to even if they wanted. Which again - is fine, but should not be kept if it's clearly not working as is.

    Stop talking about 1v1 and shura on my thread please. You are derailing it. This has nothing to do with either. Thanks

    No one is talking about 1v1 and more importantly none of you have ever made an initiative openly to ask for a time change for it, so I don't know what you expect. However that won't happen because 1v1 is only used to be exploited now. Make your own thread if you want to propose something for that. This has nothing to do with what I am asking here. Thanks

  11. I support this. Shura is way too buggy and the gimmick if anything turns people off from going to these TWs. There have been multiple times where guilds will just leave the map because they don't even want to deal with it. 

    The map is essentially interesting enough since its the only one that you can't cross directly through, so I'd say to remove shura for now and see if it affects anything. I don't think it will hurt and there definitely aren't any staunch supporters of the mechanic that will lose their minds if it is gone.

    Having different time zone is a difficult challenge, here are some options that I think seems fair for everyone :

    1 - Different hours of TW during the week (like monday 17h, tuesday 16, wednesday 17,...), so everyone can play it when the TW is close to their time zone schedule 

    2- Add another TW for week days and adapt the schedule, so everyone can play at least one per day. Adding TW means reduction of quest rewards. A good option will be 15h and 18h server time (21h and 0h for european).

    Pro : everyone can do TW with their schedule

    Cons : loss of PvP interactions
     

    A territory reset on saturday morning is possible? It will promote the fights during weekend when everyone can be here... So we can concentrate the pvp activities when evryone can play...

    In Witchcraft the current EU players are awake anyway and are willing to go, even if its an hour later than it is right now. The only primarily EU guild on the server is Guildouillot, and they are not consistent with attending already, which is fine. However I do not see a reason to accomodate this on a time that is already showing to be ineffective with creating consistent PvP.

    I would personally prefer to make it open to NA/SA/BR players that are just getting off of work and can/are actually willing to attend if it's an hour later. To me, moving it and seeing what happens is better than what we currently have going for us.

    I don't care at all when territories are reset but I do not see the weekend TWs ever having mass attendance when there is already GvG to worry about.

  13. I wanted to suggest that TW time gets pushed from 4PM EST to 5PM EST. It seems a lot of players are finishing work or just getting off of it around the current time and I think that this could all around improve attendance / availability of players.

    Feel free to share your input / if you agree, etc. I'd like to see other thoughts on this if necessary
