Dog tags

So, what about having a lvl 60+ dog tag NPC where we can turn in for a replicube that gives uni costume Locked at random, ancient jewel, ancient jewel spanner, Premium medallion 3day, SG, narak, or blessed narak? Another option would be a collect 100 for unique costume of our choice? The only problem with that 2nd option is the collection of a 60-65 dog tags are all different and there would have to be away to group the dog tags so that you get 100 with a variety.

ye been something on the very back for updates lol. We will see what we can make up. I think maybe we could do a different dog tag that is called Amara or 60-65 dog tag or something to make it easier to craft instead of one per level.

 

I don't know if vivi would want big stuff like costumes in it or ancient things or even the prem medal lol.

This would get people to want to PvP more right?

I could see using the Dog Tags for stuff that would be used in PvP.  Take buff potions, for example.  The items you're suggesting should remain as is or go to the AP shop.  That's just me. 

 

Oh!  Here's a few dime-a-dozen dog tags in exchange for a stupidly hard to to get tool that isn't remotely close to COTS or for a meteor.

The dog tag exchange could be the same as the exchange of stuff from Halloween and Christmas where we needed like 25 for a premium medallion 3day. But having some PvP buffs like the chromium buff could be another one to use. The option I was thinking of would essentially be like the Ellis hourly quest replicubes that give a chance for Ancient Spanners and Ancient jewels, since those two items are what I feel too hard to come by, especially the Ancient jewels that I don't think drop anywhere or anybody in Amara can get. Unless you want to talk about the tank escort quest/killing that having obtained 100 of those dumb things for HP pots and that nobody gets anything good at all because of the crap we get from them. The idea of using Dog Tags for a chance replicube or even a direct trade for certain items wasn't going to be a here's 4 give me something great. More like here's 10 for a chance replicube or here's 25 for premium medalion, 10 for pvp buffs(Not hypos), or here's 100 for 11 replicubes. The idea of using dog tags for rewards could inspire players to PvP more for them, could it not?

What about making it something like so we have a level 60 PvP vending Machine ? Possibly with something to help players acquire atleast a lv 40 uni or 50 mech by that time they're in Amara, as we know the 60 Mechs are ready-ish just on hold for now

I mean you have players staying in guards to win a bg, you have players waiting for one side to finish the first chest first to win a bg, you have players who take their sweet time entering the pvp area of a BG to win a BG, you have players using glitches in the game to win a BG, you players abusing the us of lag to teleport around a map to win a BG, you have players who stay on their bikes hoping to escape an attacker to win a BG. I can go on, but if people don't want to use Dog Tags for rewards that you get from pvp to increase pvp then would somebody please give a suggestion that will

A) keep the community interested in the game
B) have something that will spark the interest of new players to stay
C) help get some of the players who left to come back and stay
D) make the game fun to play besides farming the hell out of DGs that are too repetitive and doesn't have any thinking involved to get through and just button smash 
E) have away for people to get them since ancient jewels, 3 day medallion, and some of the other pvp buffs don't drop anywhere at all.
F) give another source for ancient spanners that hardly anybody is getting anywhere in 60+ with terrible drops and that only 1 drops from 1 boss like maybe once a day to once a week.
G) allow players to get a unique costume for the class they want instead of filling up AH with costumes people don't use.

I was hoping to use Dog Tags to increase players willingness to want to be active more. If players are banking on the skill tree changes to increase players wanting to play, you are putting your hopes into the wrong thing. Ask yourself, what video games do you play the most and why do you keep playing them? I'm guessing you play because of challenge and reward. So, how do you increase the challenge and reward to this game through pvp if not increase players to pvp by increasing the reward.

Sounds great but it might cause alot of ripple effect in the future, anything pvp related can be abused because people can easily use multiple toons, we have too many problems/bugs that needs fixing, adding another one wont make the game better.

There always will be side effects to everything, if you apply your policy we will never get anything done. With more power comes more responsibility ye, with each new invention comes the side effects. Causes and Consequences. You just apply the logic of 'How good would it do doing this thing? and how bad would it do?' and to me doing what Sand says will bring a lot more good than bad. Dog tags exist since Adam&Eva's times and they always have been a bit "abused". 

I like the idea as this sure will help a lot the PvP, and for the rest I trust our GMs/GSs in laying down the details/fundamentals to avoid the abuse where possible, as foundations are done.

People like to do the easy way in everything, the way I see it, it will make most of the veterans fully spanned and full ancient jewels in no time, it does not give something to the new players, you can just open 2 windows of SB and kill yourself repeatedly in a secluded area if thats your idea of helping the pvp alot, okay fine. If you want to really help the community make something that makes the new player stays. There are people, players who manage to get their hands on ancient jewels with pure sheer will and dedication those who worked hard to get them you will make their efforts into poop.

I could be fully spanned at any second. Right now I already have 1 set of gears fully spanned and a lot more on the side to keep going along with the jewels to do. Yes, I am talking about ancient jewels and spanners. In comparison to the new players coming in to face me in PvP, they don't really last long. The reason I have been advocating for more drops of ancient spanners, isn't to stock my toons with ancient spanners, because that could be done yesterday. But how fair is it that a new player coming in has the smallest chance in hell to obtain those while most of the veteran players I know have at least half their gear spanned by choice while the other half could like me do it at any second? The other reason I am advocating for away for lvl 60 players to get them is that you have a higher chance of getting them at 50~59 than you do getting them if at all at 60+. It would allow players at level 60 a better chance at getting them. Also, ancient jewels don't drop anywhere in Amara, DTO, DS, and BGs, what supply we get of those comes from player right now who are doing Ellis quests that we at end game can't do. Finally new players don't have the resources as the veteran players have in purchasing ancient spanner services from those who get to loot that 1 ancient spanner a week.

Also, note that the items obtained from Dog tags doesn't have to contain ancient jewels or spanner, but at least allow us to obtain items that are useful and not common. I would be for putting in the Cronus buff or something like it. Though not putting in ancient jewels or spanners in them, at least put them somewhere that players aren't forced to watch the same players loot them when they happen to show every time, or increase how many drop from bosses at one time. That way new players that reach end game aren't in a constant state of struggling to not only level, make +12 gears, rank 2 jewels(let alone attempt to get full unique rank 2 jewels), or accessories for that cap but they will also struggle at trying to get ancient jewels for their toons. So, I say increase it for them, because veteran players if they don't have them can get them easier than new players. Last Halloween Vivi placed them in the Seona Spawn DG, which was great and awesome, since then though I haven't seen any ancient jewels or ancient spanners, so I would like to see them become more available than they currently are as they should be.

And do you think those newbies you are talking about will have resource to get into level 60+ so they can have those stuff? Granted that they make it up to 60+ do you want to flood amara of ungeared players trying their best to loot dog tags? Will that help pvp? Do you think newbies will bother to get ancient jewels and spanners before finishing their gears first? The only players the will benifit the most out of it are those the already have an established toon, dont get me wrong, I love your Idea of utilizing dog tags maybe you can put supplies in it but adding unique costume, ancient spanners, Ancient jewels is another problem child and by the time newbies get to the point of collecting those stuffs, those things are already scraped and same as always only the veterans indulge in a full stash of those things.

Afaik many newbies r rlly want to reach end game so fast. Like 80 - 90% of them doesnt know about "progress". Ive seen 3 nrwbies asking about bike 180mspd to me freely, like asking me to buy them potions lol. So imo, obtaining ancient or other high end game stuffs from dogtags, i will accept it. Let say u need 100 tags to get ancient spanner, or maybe less, fair enough. I never loot dogtags btw bcs its not worth for me rn.

Ancient spanners, ancient jewels, unique jewels got nothing to do with newbies going blindly to 60+ cap. You want ancient stuffs farm them, maybe add them as a drop on amara bosses with good percentage that way both sides will fight for it increasing pvp action in amara, I think those inactive FK will now have reason to go ingame, guilds amd faction camping for bosses waiting for it to spawn is a thing back in CG when titan is still a thing, it was majestic and pvp feels alive. If we can swap or add a higher level CG map as a new pvp map it would be so much better.

Farm them? Right? Because they are in lvl 60+ cap other than bosses that nobody really pvp's for and players in Ellis don't have to pvp for them as well. Here's a list of ways they are open for 60+ players,

Amara bosses - drops so rare hardly anybody is obtaining them fairly. I know I haven't seen or looted any of them from a boss since they added them. Doesn't sound like they are easy for anybody to get and might as well stay in Ellis getting them. 

Killing escort tank in Amara - That replicube you get is so damaged in being able to get them that again Ellis quests have a better chance, so make a lvl 50 toon that doesn't even need to be geared to complete quests to get them.

When I talk of new players, I am talking about those who new to lvl 60+, not new players who just started. Because once you enter 60+ you have to gear with pvp or pve gear and enhance it, then trying to get accessories that are harder to get now, and jewels up until lvl 50 you can get away without having rank 2 jewels. Before lvl 60 players didn't have to have all the items are a must have at lvl 60+ if you want to survive doing anything. That includes BGs where guards are really OP for even +12 geared players and forget about farming DGs helping with bosses as I've seen players get 1 shot by every boss in Amara who doesn't have +12 gears even with a medic on hand.

This is why they need to stay at 59 first, they have to know that going up to 60 cap is nonesense if you dont have anything prepared, if you want to know how hard the new players are struggling, make a new toon and dont give it anything, dont try to boost it start from scratch and see how you manage, you guys keep saying "it will help the newbies" all im reading is you guys want access to high tier item the easy way and saying it in the pretense of helping new players. We got everything we need were doing great on r2 rare jewels if you want unique grind it on BC, the only problem is the ancient spanner and ancient jewel drop is broken but i dont wanna see this items floating around so easily they are called ancient for a reason. That is why I suggest it to be an amara boss drop for cairn, helios,hounds and asmo with a drop rate like unique costumes that way veterans have something to fight over that can result in a large scale pvp.

Dog tags for clusters, hypovial packs, hp crisis potion, napalm II, SG Republicubes, maybe a loot box that has a chance of getting a unqiue earrings level 60+ as the best thing you can get.

Is your idea of making a good fight by limited players gears?

Napalms are a waste for DTs(Dog Tags) you can get them just by salvaging a unique gear and easily obtained from other sources like hounds and other Amara bosses. Hypos are a dime a dozen and again so easy to get. Clusters(red) gear salvaging, Clusters(blue) join a BG and get red too. HP crisis? players use them? Last I heard you use them and there goes your HP regen pot use. SG republicubes(Lol) okay Replicubes, salvage gears and join a BG because people need to join BGs.

The chance for an ancient jewel or spanner isn't supposed to be 100%, more like 5% chance for either one.
But maybe trade DTs for Golden Chrono buff or Al Zhen's gift with 10% chance each.
Also, 3 day premium medallion at 10%
Now what to do with the other 60% chance?
Narak at 20%
Blessed narak at 20%
SG (not replicube because that's a chance to get a chance for a golden globe instead of SG that we are already getting a chance to get) at 10%

Let me clear that up
Ancient jewel - 5%
Ancient Spanner - 5%
3day premium medallion - 10%
SG - 10%
blessed narak -20%
Narak - 20%
Golden Chrono buff - 10%
Al Zhen's gift - 10%

DTs needed 4 to 10

unique costume of choice - 200 or 250?
